Cons: He can move really quickly in class, but there are so many other extra opportunities to clarify any problems
ECON ROCKS
Just go to class, it is that simple.
Cons: None.
Entertaining
So much extra credit
Cons: none
Very good, i recommend this class to everyone of every major
Cons: None!
He's an amazing teacher! I've never taken an econ course before, but Mateer makes it fun and interesting! You often times get extra credit just for showing up at class! He knows how to teach and does it well!
Cons: Exams aren't so easy.
Cons: class started out easy and by the last test the information was much harder, which I did not expect
Cons: the course itself can be hard, but it's acceptable for the level of course it is.
If your'e taking ECON 002, take it with dirk mateer!
Cons: you will be jealous and wish you were as cool as dirk is.
best econ teacher ever. show up to class when you feel like you need to and follow his study guide for exams and you're golden
Cons: Exams are sometimes tough
Cons: NONE
Perhaps the best teacher at Penn State.
Cons: HUGE classes make it VERY difficult to get to know him (if you like to know your profs)
He is very enthusiastic about economics.
Cons: He does not define terms easily and his notes can be very confusing.
Compared to other economics teachers he is not as good.
He loves to give examples in class but never clearly defines the terms of the examples he is giving.
I really did not enjoy this class and thought it was very difficult.
