Very energetic teacher. It is very obvious that he loves teaching and will do everything he can to make sure the material is explained well. He also does very easy extra credit.
Dr. Grimes made this class kind of interesting. I'm not very interested in science but I did learn a great deal. He had a nice personality. He was approachable and that's always a plus when dealing with college professors. I wouldn't recommend buying the book for this class. I spent like $90 on the used book for this class and I never opened it the entire semester. All of the test information comes from his power-point slides from lecture (he also puts these online in myCourses).
Come to class and take notes. Class is not very challenging, but tests require some studying.
Craig Grimes means well and is a nice man although his class is not easy. No matter how much I studied I always felt that is would always be a toss up on what may be on the test. The average on the tests were always in the 60s or 70s which says something.
craig grimes is the most boring teacher i have ever had. he presents the material in a very boring manner and makes the class very uninteresting. also, his tests are hard. on the first test, the class average was in the 60's. i never got higher than an 80 on his tests.i would not recommend this teacher at all.
He is by far the best teacher I have had in my four semesters here. He is especially helpful if you have questions you ask outside of class and through e-mail. If anything the tests were a little too easy. |
