Cons: Exam questions can be somewhat tricky,
Most of this class consists of common sense-type stuff or clarification of misconceptions about psychology. The material isn't difficult at all, but there is quite a bit of memorization to do. Study for exams AHEAD of time. The quizzes are online, open book, and you have two attempts for each quiz -- there's really no reason to miss points on the quizzes. The papers are all really easy, as well.
Cons: exams need to be taken seriously for a gen ed
tests shouldn't be taken lightly. I made the mistake on the first exam and only got a 68. Tests are easier if you pay attention in class, and take notes. he does give you notes to go off of and follow along which makes it nice. reading the book isn't necessary but does make the exams more bearable. Definitely take the class with Peck. He's a funny guy
Cons: You actually have to go to class
Cons: his handouts have blanks which can only be filled during lectures - he doesn't post his slides online
Cons: He pretends to be nice, but is actually kind of a jerk.
It's a required class for psych majors and I'm pretty sure Peck is the only prof that teaches it... so just be careful.
Cons: class is too early
Cons: 8am
Cons: large classes... not really that bad of a thing
