Personal Statement

I began tutoring in senior high when I worked as part of a pilot program. Through the program, we were paired with underclassmen to help them in writing. When I was in college, I ran a middle school after-school program in Los Angeles. I earned my bachelor's degree in English literature with minors in Latin and French. Right now I am working as a teacher for developmentally delayed students. I use behavioral therapy to decrease their negative behaviors. I am passionate about my job and about working with kids of all ages. I am hoping to apply to the masters of science program in clinical psychology.
