Personal Statement

I earned my bachelor's degree in biochemistry from UCLA. I have been a volunteer tutor for years and have helped ESL and elementary math students. My favorite subjects to tutor include literature, writing, and algebra 2. I also have experience helping students write great college or grad school essays. I enjoy teaching students the why and how of things, instead of just handing them the answers. I also believe in engaging my students in dialogue and encouraging them to ask questions.
