My objective as a teacher is to help you to become the best musician that you can be. To achieve this, I draw from over 20 years of experience performing multiple musical instruments live and in recording sessions, in many stages worldwide, and with a variety of music groups. My credits include: - Writing music performed by the GRAMMY Award nominee One O'clock Lab Band, featuring also GRAMMY Award nominee saxophonist Melissa Aldana. - Performing with the Chilean National Symphony Orchestra and the Chilean National Youth Symphony Orchestra. - Performing with and arranging for The Villalobos Brothers. - Arranging and orchestrating music for the film `Eloísa Díaz: Ciencia Urgente.` - Performing, composing and arranging for Sexto Piso, Alameda Memoria and La Chile Big Band. - Being a grant winner of the 2022 Music Fund of the Chilean Ministry of Culture. - Being a winner of the Chilean National Scholarship of the Friends of the Municipal Theater Corporation, for three consecutive years. - And many more. My experience as a teacher includes: - Teaching Assistant of Jazz Arranging, Jazz Library and Jazz Lecture Series at the University of North Texas. - Grader for Music Theory at the University of North Texas. - Primary Instructor of Saxophone at the evening music program of the University of Chile. - Ensemble Coach at the evening music program of the University of Chile. - Piano, Saxophone, Guitar, Flute, Drums and Composition Teacher for multiple schools of the New York City area. I have worked with people of all ages and across multiple nationalities. I can teach effectively in English and Spanish. Finally, I hold an MM in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, as well as a BA in Saxophone and a BA in Theory of Music from the University of Chile.
