Personal Statement

I earned my degree from Columbia University and currently teach fifth grade mathematics at a charter school. I bring to my tutoring experience in diagnosing a student's strengths and weaknesses and forming individualized plans based on these so that my students may achieve maximum success and understanding in their subjects. I truly believe that every student can succeed with individualized attention. My teaching philosophy encompasses high expectations, strong relationships with students and parents, a progressive curriculum, and engaging teaching.
