Personal Statement

I am originally from Michigan, and earned my bachelor's degree in Music from Michigan State University. I now enjoy living in Manhattan, and find joy in helping students as a tutor. I am able to help students understand the content they need to learn, as well as how to build successful learning strategies. This is especially important when I work with students on preparing for standardized exams, like the SAT, ACT, or AP tests, which are all about strategy. I also have experience successfully tutoring students in English, or the first couple levels of French, in reading, speaking, and writing skills.
