I spent 23 years in the U.S. Army, eventually leading to my assistant professorship at West Point. I've also taught middle school math in Harlem, where I was able to make significant gains for the students in my classes. I still consult with the archdiocese of New York on STEM curriculum, but I consider myself partially retired.
