As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Comfortable in deep water with basic skills in using watercraft like surfboards, paddleboards, or kayaks
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without hands for 2 minutes
• Preferred experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a plus but not required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
