As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Ability to navigate deep water and use watercraft like surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without using hands for 2 minutes
Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
Red Cross or WSI certification is a plus
Must be 18 years or older
