Role overview
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a Proven Poke location in compliance with our policies and procedures, including:
Providing superb customer service, including addressing complaints and resolving issues
Ensuring excellent food quality, including inventory management and food preparation
Managing a full staff of shift leaders and team members, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; and rewarding and disciplining employees
The Restaurant Manager reports directly to the Company Owners and Ops Manager.
Detailed responsibilities
Customer service
Hold guests as highest priority and role model exceptional guest service
Ensure restaurant is clean and fully stocked (bathrooms, utensils and napkin dispensers) at all times
Ensure employees use our greeting standards and are knowledgeable of our ingredients and menu so they can quickly guide customers down the line
Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service
Check in on customers during their dining experience
Ensure online orders are being fulfilled accurately and timely
Jump in on tasks such as serving food, clearing and cleaning tables, cleaning the restaurant and washing dishes
Food quality
Check products to ensure consistency and flavor conformity
Cook and prepare food
Schedule and receive supplies, food and beverage deliveries and check delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
Monitor staff’s food portion scooping to ensure consistency
Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving
Maintain food and equipment inventories, keeping daily inventory records
Ensure Team Members comply with all policies and procedures related to cleanliness, food safety, and restaurant safety
Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services such as waste removal
Keep records required by government agencies regarding sanitation
Staff
Recruit, hire, train and fire staff following Company processes
Maintaining records of all new employees using approved HR guidelines
Schedule staff hours and assign duties; monitor budgets and payroll records to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted
Hold mandatory staff meetings to review new menu items, policy updates and other changes that are implemented
Ensure staff reports to work on time in full uniform
Coach Team Members throughout their shift to execute operational standards and deliver a great customer experience
Hold staff accountable for consistently delivering excellent customer service and food quality in compliance with Company policies and procedures
Reward and discipline employees following Company processes
Ensure all shifts are assigned and worked by staff
Operations
Utilize point of sale cash register; set the till, divide cash tips, count money and make daily bank deposits
Following processes and managing PNLs, inventory logs, daily checklists, prep sheets, waste logs, etc.
Serve Safe certification a must
