As a Swim Instructor at Greater Scranton YMCA, you will be responsible for leading swimming programs, offering both individual and group lessons to children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who have a genuine love for swimming, great communication skills, and the ability to motivate young swimmers, fostering a love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team and support our Greater Scranton YMCA in Dunmore, PA.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, giving feedback and guidance as needed

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, ideally in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, able to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of working with children in a structured setting
• A passion for swimming and working with children
