Lehigh University strongly recommends that all students living off-campus obtain renters insurance. This is because renters insurance provides protection for personal belongings in case of damage or theft, liability coverage in case someone is injured on the property, and may also cover additional living expenses if the residence becomes uninhabitable. It is important to note that Lehigh University does not provide insurance coverage for individual student property. Therefore, students are responsible for securing their own renters insurance to protect their personal property.
