As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Able to navigate deep water and use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, tread water without hands for 2 minutes, etc.)
Preferably have experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18 years or older
