Personal Statement

Learning a language sometimes can be tricky due to the time factor, as well as mobility expenses. University and school workload, along with homework, can also be a burden when motivated to learn a new tongue. As a tutor, I consider myself patient and understanding. My academic experience has shown me that each learning journey is different. Patience is important as a tutor and as a student. Attention issues may arise throughout the process, which is why it is essential to remain patient. This way it is possible to find methods to use attention span and attention behavior in the student's favor. This takes patience, trial and error; it is a universal way of learning in life. As a student I also had a tutor who helped me with Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry; this saved my academic life. The school I attended had a university method of teaching. Even though this is good, it can backfire due to the speed at which topics are taught. Especially in the subjects mentioned before. These need more patience and practice; my specialty. Autonomic work might be tedious sometimes, but having a tutor can help the workload feel less heavy. That is the reason that I decided to become a tutor, I want to help other students learn at their own pace; so their schedule isn't as complicated to follow through. As a student, I'm understanding and flexible, but as a teacher, I hope to see compromise and effort in my tutees. I will help you accomplish your academic goals and I'm always open to listening if you need advice in your academic life. After all, I want to be a support for fellow academics who, just as I am, are trying to find a balance between life and learning.
