El PMI es la Principal Organización Mundial en el campo de la Dirección de Proyectos (www.pmi.org). Sus guías están basadas en las "Buenas Prácticas" de profesionales de todo el mundo, y sus certificaciones, por ejemplo el Project Manager Professional (PMP) son muy demandadas por empresas de todos los sectores.
