Join the growing NY craft beverage industry! Deer Run Winery is seeking a full-time tasting room associate to work in our family owned and operated farm winery on Conesus Lake!

Tasting Room Associate Job Duties

• Clean tasting room and restrooms before opening
• Sample wines for customers, speak knowledgeably about the products, sell products
• Manage a cash drawer / balance register at end of shift
• Seat customers in our Tank Room caf
• Answer phone calls as needed, make reservations for caf and/or tasting room
• Keep tasting room bar stocked / organized and clean
• Provide customers with an exceptional customer service experience
• Sample wines for up to 12-15 people at a time (during busiest times)
• Inform customers of other tourism destinations in our region - promote the area
• Track inventory of retail items / replenish and create retail displays

Candidate should possess the following qualities:

• Pride in appearance and be neatly kept
• Excellent customer service skills
• Enjoy speaking with a wide variety of people
• Have a love of wine and eagerness to learn about winemaking and the wine industry
• Availability to work weekends (schedule includes working Thursday Monday)
