As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water and basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Comfortable in deep water with basic ability to use watercraft
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam
• Experience working with or teaching children preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not essential
• 18+ years of age
