Personal Statement

I tutor in ecology and sciences, but I am passionate about teaching in Spanish too. I grew up in Honduras and later in life worked at the Embassy of Honduras in Washington, DC. I enjoy sharing the culture and language with people. My favorite thing to witness is when a pupil realizes that by learning a language they are learning to look at the world differently. As a teacher, I recognize that every student has strengths and weaknesses. I create lesson plans that build upon their strengths and works on their weaknesses.
