Personal Statement

Hi, I'm Jess and dance is my passion! I've been dancing kpop and street styles for 5 years. I struggled a ton when I first started to dance in NYC, and it took me a lot of trial and error and hiding in the back of the class before I started becoming confident. I toughed it out, but I've heard lots of stories of friends who tried a class, went to the wrong level, got overwhelmed and never came back. That makes me sad because there are so many benefits to dance - it's such a beautiful expression of self and self-discovery, it's a great workout, and above all, it's fun! I don't want anyone else to fall into this trap, so let me set you up for success.
