Gonzalo is a versatile saxophonist, composer, and educator currently based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He holds a Bachelor's degree in music from the prestigious `Astor Piazzolla` Conservatory and completed his specialization in Jazz at the esteemed J.M. de Falla Conservatory, both located in Buenos Aires. Gonzalo has had the privilege of studying under the guidance of renowned international masters such as Seamus Blake, Donny McCaslin, Steve Cardenas, Dave Liebman, Conrad Herwig, Rory Stuart, Fred Hersch, George Garzone, David Kikoski, Alex Sipiagin, and Phil Palombi. Locally, he refined his craft studying saxophone with esteemed mentors including Jose Manasali, Ricardo Cavalli, Carlos Lastra, Carlos Goldberg, and Natalio Sued. In addition to his formal education, Gonzalo has continuously expanded his musical horizons through rigorous study, delving into clarinet, flute, harmony, jazz piano, improvisation, and ensemble. Since 2003, Gonzalo has been an active participant in the vibrant Argentine music scene, gracing stages with a diverse array of ensembles encompassing jazz, pop, Brazilian, salsa, funk, and more. His performances have captivated audiences at esteemed venues and festivals across the country. In addition to his performing career, Gonzalo has been dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians since 2004, offering saxophone lessons in downtown Buenos Aires, private saxophone lessons, teaching at the Buenos Aires Institute of Art, and conducting educational clinics throughout the country.
