Cons: Hard exams
Professor Yotov is an exceptional professor. He will do anything to make sure his students are doing well. He has tutoring sessions about an hour before class starts, and answers all of your questions. He's a funny professor, and he will try his best to make sure you get a good grade on the exams.
-He's funny and engaging.
-Is great at making sure everyone really understands the material.
-Repeats important information so you're not scrambling to write everything down.
-His accent is clear and understandable. It looks like he's had that problem in the past but he's clearly worked on it.
Cons: Really can't think of any
Extremely nice guy, really knows what he's doing and should be teaching other professors how to teach in my opinion. Really tries to improve himself for the better of the student. The quizzes and homework are only there to help you stay on top of the material for the exams. The exams aren't easy but if you do the homework's, go to class and go to his study sessions you can get an A.
Knowledgeable
Great office hours
Cons: None
Probably one of the top 2 favorite professors of my Drexel career. What an awesome guy. You just want to learn by seeing his motivation and passion for economics. Salute!
Cons: Heavy workload! No joke! Morning class...
He is another great professor at Drexel University and he really like his job. However, this class wasn't easy. Not an easy A, you have put a lot effort if you really want to get an A.
Cons: must go to class
Knows what he is teaching
Available for students
High tolerance level
Try's to incorporate every student's interest
Fun Class
Cons: Hard to get into, 8 am
Takes long to correct exams
He is by far the best professor at Drexel. I am honored to be in his class. Encourages every student and ensures good understanding of the subject.
Heavy curves (helpful)
Lots of time available beyond class
Clear, outlined lectures
Cons: Some analysis requires explanation
Professor Yotov is a great, great professor. I'll admit, I signed up to his class because of his perfect reviews and the fact that I needed the credit, but I learned a lot from his class and enjoyed applying the knowledge I learned from his class towards others. Grading is moderately curved on exams, grading is fair, and questions are very welcomed during class. Also, he's available beyond class and holds many 'office hours' as a form of extra class time. The only con I have about the class is that some analysis is rushed, in the sense that it requires more explanation than provided (and the book doesn't cover many of the practical applications). I can understand the need to cover all the content within Drexel's 10 weeks, but still would recommend more time spent on certain areas. I would highly recommend taking his classes. Attendance isn't mandatory, but to truly grasp the concepts you'll want to attend his classes. With curving, plenty of extra help, and opportunity to discount/drop tests, put in the effort and you'll do great.
Has a lot of experience
He is not stubborn and listens to questions and complains
Cons: This is not a i'll do it the last minute class. You need to be on top of the material from the beginning of the term. Attendance not mandatory but necessary in my opinion
Very Fair and cool professor. Knows how to explain things the right way, will repeat for students who ask questions. Has office hours and is a great professor if you want to do well. He gives extra credit, drops lowest h/w, quiz, test it is hard not to get an A or B depending how much u like econ. The workload is not heavy (it was heavier in BSN 101/102) but the material is harder.
Cons: He is not from America so his accent sometimes is hard to understand but that is all.
Cons: Nothing. This guy does everything a professor should do and he goes beyond his duties to teach students
His exams are moderate-difficult. BUT he does do a great job reviewing and giving similar projects and homework so the exam becomes really easy if you study and do the homework. Yoto has my respect as a amazing professor. Worth every minute of his class. Attendance wasn't mandatory and i still did not miss a day. He made the class fun without deviating from the point of college, studying. TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF YOUR TUITION.
Very organized and detailed
Knows material really well
Good at explaining
Patient
Great sense of humor
Personable
Gives lots of extra credit
Cons: Accent can be difficult to understand
Has high expectations
Exams are hard
He is the best professor I have had at Drexel. If you put forth the effort--in class, on exams, on homeworks, on extra credit--you will be rewarded.
His grading is a little unfair, he really benefits the people who do bad and doesnt really give incentive to those who do well...easy B, tough A, damn near impossible to fail
I'm in my third year at Drexel and this professor is by far one of the best I've had.
He's very flexible, caring, holds office hours, invites you to see him, and basically repeats the concepts in class for extra review each class.
I wasn't well one day, and I needed to be excused, never had a professor so sweet and understanding.
When it comes to homework, and exam grading, he doesn't play. He makes them hard enough to challenge you so you know you can't mess around in his class.
