Pros: It is an easy A if you put in the effort. Really study and know how to name structures but also know about the details and facts because that is what the majority of the multiple choice is on.

Pros: She explained everything clear and was pretty nice to answer any question you had. Learn everything she says from the lecture and you will be fine.
Cons: The grade is based only on your exams and lab exam.
Nice teacher. This course is all about O-chem. Remember the main materials and this will not be the hard course for you.

Pros: Very thorough in class lectures. She is very hands on and often does demonstrations in class. She relates the information to things we encounter in every day life. She uploads the notes after each lecture. She provides you with practice exam questions. The TA's are great with enforcing the information taught in class, especially Donna and Erin. Lab is a easy A and is a great grade booster since it is worth more than an exam.
Cons: Teaches things in class you will never see on the exam.
If you go to recitation and sign in and put in the work she will boost your grade at the end. Her grading scale is already curved to begin with but she definitely helps out the students who put in effort at the end. She is a fair teacher who realizes this information isn't something we will technically need in the future.

Pros: Easy course
Simple Labs
online homeworks
Cons: zero professor interaction
pre-recorded lectures are awful
I took this class online and the curriculum is a joke. If you have any interest in Chemistry I suggest taking general chemistry. the midterm had questions a middle school student would know such as conversion between L to mL, mole calculation, and a myriad of other simple topics. The online lectures are terrible, long, and dry. I learned the new material by doing the hoe works and teaching myself from the book. the instructor basically was not present whatsoever, with zero original content posted. the labs are also pathetically easy and take an average of 45 min. terrible class, easy A

Pros: Rudkowsky as always does a very nice job with her lectures. She is very kind and will answer any questions you may have.
Cons: None
This class as a whole is very easy as long you study the notes. The material doesn't change at all from year to year so if you find someone that has Solomon's notes, those work just as well for studying for the exams.
Recitation's are a waste of time, the questions were incredibly easy so you don't have to go to them. Labs are every week but they are easy to perform and you only have to answer a few questions after your done them. You don't even have to go to lecture if you don't want to but I would advise going anyway.
Even if this class isn't required, I'd still advise taking this after you have taken 101 and 102. Here's why: its the easiest 5 credits you will probably ever earn (GPA Booster), you can make it an elective, and it is a VERY good intro into orgo, trust me!

LOTS of visual experiments in class
After my last chemistry classes, professor Rutkowsky was a very nice change. Her lectures were entertaining, easy to follow, and helpful. I would recommend coming to class because she explains everything very well and answers questions if you have trouble with something, not to mention her cool experiments that went with every lecture to show us the "chemistry" of her lecture.

Pros: - Easy/moderate exams
- Can take a note sheet to the exam
- Extremely kind
- Willing to help out and answer questions
Cons: - Chem is hard
I had professor Rutkowsky as my lab instructor as well as the facilitator for my online lecture. I took Chem 151 Summer term and honestly it was the easiest chem class I've taken. In high school I just didn't get chemistry but I found this class interesting and the exams were easy to moderate. She allows a note sheet to take to the exams which really helps and the labs are really easy.

Pros: Susan is easily the best professor I have had at Drexel. She gives simple, logical explanations and never makes you feel stupid. If you have questions, Susan is very approachable and willing to work with you. She truly cares and wants students to do well.
Cons: Sometimes her lectures move too slowly and are a bit boring.
If you study her notes a lot you will get an A. The exams literally come from her lecture notes.

Pros: Susan was a good recitation instructor. She knew what she was talking about.
Cons: Her lectures got kind of boring at times because she talked so softly
Chemistry is definitely a weed out course for Drexel. I mean if you get 3 problems wrong on the test, you are already at a B. Make sure you study for the tests or you will fail. That is the truth.

Pros: Her tests were pretty fair and straight out of her notes. Textbook was mainly useful for the problems.
You would think Chemistry is hard, but surprisingly I found this to be 110 times easier than high school chemistry. Susan helped out everyone with all the labs, and was more than generous with the grading, not to mention the curve in the end helped out bigtime.

Susan is my favorite professor so far!! she is so nice and easy. in recitation she gives you all of the questions and goes over them on the board. she is really easy going, and understanding (especially because I had recitation at 8am but I just went to the same one at 11, and she let me sign in) really great love her

Easy as hell for Chem 103. Do the work, come to lecture (don't worry about recitation. As long as you can understand the material a recitation before the test, so you can ask questions that recitation, don't worry about it.) Lab was easy as a whole, a bit long but whatever. As long as you pay attention in class and read the notes she hands out, you'll be fine.

She is a really nice teacher. Although she doesn't make lecture mandatory, it's in one's best interest to go because her tests come directly out of the notes she gives in class. Her tests contain no tricks and are very fair. The labs are not exciting but generally help your grade since lab is worth 25% of your total grade.

This instructor really cares about the subject and the students. She is a good teacher, obviously a little green, but very enthusiastic. She explains topics adequately though not always thoroughly enough for the exams, and I enjoyed the demonstrations a great deal. The only things I think she needs to work on is the lecture notes and pacing. The notes are a bit sloppy, and like most of the ones I've encountered, she follows the general rule of thumb that good chemists are not particularly good mathmaticians--not just her, but none of the ones involved in this course seemed one hundred percent sure how to round numbers or explain equations in a truly logical way. That and none seemed in sinc as far as lectures verses homework verses experiments were concerned. Everything was disjointed. We often had to do homework that hadn't yet been covered in lecture, so I felt like I had to teach myself topics and then have them retaught to me again. It was confusing and frustrating at times, as the textbook really was awful.

she is awesome... i hated chem, until i took intro to organic with her, and i actually liked the class... she teaches everything really well, at a slow pace, and tells you everything you need to know for the tests. and she does cool experiments. go to class, take the notes, do the review sheet, and youll be fine.
