Pros: Prepared me slightly for other project management classes.
Cons: Heaviest, most stressful class that I have ever taken here at Drexel. The class is entirely project based and each project is based off of the previous one. Normally this would be fine, except she returns the previous assignment's grade when you are about to submit the next assignment.

This was a heavy workload class. She is knowledgeable and I do feel like I learned quite a bit in the class. The projects are tough and she is a hard (but fair) grader. Be prepared for brutally honest feedback about what you did right and wrong. My only issue is that the requirements for the assignments could have been a bit clearer.
She is flexible and will allow you to resubmit projects to improve your grade. All in all, if you put the work in, you will be successful in her class.

Horrible instructor. I learned absolutely nothing in the class. It was not worth the money. I'll never take another class with her again.

Took her even though all the bad reviews here. Don't really understand what everyone was complaining about, half the class got As, and 90% of the other students got Bs. Yes theres a lot of writing, but thats why they call it a writing intensive course. She even lets you rewrite one assignment, including the midterm, which was 30% of the grade. A lot of work, but you can get a good grade if you show up and do your work.

You have to work for your grade and tehre are weekly assignments, but what do you expect for a writing intensive course. She adds a lot of meaning to things and makes you understand what is going on at a higher level. This class helps you understand managerial issues and not just be a regular worker.

Is a good class, stuff that is real important to know but take a diffrent teacher. She makes you work for the grade you get, so if you put in the time (no matter if it is top quality) you can get an A like I did.

Avoid her if you can - this class is important for IS students, but do yourself a favor and take it with anyone but her. Course workload is very heavy, just like she is. Grading is ridiculous, especially for the midterm and final papers. Attendance is required. She will penalize students for everything that is not up to her standards, which are listed in the 10 page syllabus (and that's both sides of the paper). But she does allow to resubmit one assignment per term.

A review definitely sounds suspect when the reviewer says "learned many lifelong lessons" from a teacher in one ten week term... I mean, come on!!

FAT, annoying, talks a lot out of her ass. Our group caught her in her own boll shit more then once already.

Since when is "Fat" and having an accent a criteria to making a subject a good one!? This woman is extremely knowledgeable about her subjects and very motivating. I truly enjoyed her class; I learned many valuable IST as well as lifelong lessons when I completed her course. I thank her dearly for that.

Susan Gasson is an extremely jolly IST professor. classwork was a pain, but I heard that 205 just has alot of writing involved with it. very fair grader, and can keep class interesting.
