Greatest marketing professor I ever had (2nd greatest professor overall). I took Professor Kligman for 3 different marketing classes, and without him I wouldn't be where I am today. He makes him self available, very knowledgeable on the subject manner, and the classes are interesting and relevant.

Pros: Stan is a great guy! One of the nicest professors I have ever had. He really knows what he is talking about. Lots of guest speakers.
All quizzes and exams are open book, so this class is very easy.

Pros: -Easy A if you READ the textbook and/or take notes on it
-Seriously, I cannot stress enough JUST READ the textbook. 100% of the class is book based!!!!!!
-Weekly online quizzes, based on the one chapter you're assigned to read for the week. 10 questions. Easy.
-Online midterm and final. 50 questions based on your reading. EASY
-The library has a copy of the book on reserve so don't buy it if you don't mind going to the library to use the book.
-He takes attendance
-Professor has lots of life experience. Even if you're not interested in selling, you could apply the lessons from his stories to many aspects of life.
Cons: -Professor is very nice/intellectual so I don't mean to sound rude but he is monotone and talks all lecture and does not ask many questions for students to paticipate. You would probably fall asleep or use your laptop all class and miss his cool stories

Pros: Stanley had the right attitude - that sales is about creating win-win long term relationships. The textbook he used was very well written with many great examples and practice tips.
He has interesting stories and had an interesting life.
Cons: However, he did not interact with the students at all, created no relationship with us and spent the last 30 minutes of class showing boring terribly scripted business videos. Some of the multiple choice questions were vague, loaded or had multiple correct answers, yet even when I showed him the page in the textbook showing that multiple answers were in fact correct, he refused to give me credit.
Now he teaches like a flat textbook - one way communication, and if you have a question that he didn't answer, you're better off googling it.
tl;dr Easy class, would not take again.

I took his class as an online course. Worst decision! His lectures are literally him reading off the slides and he does not say anything interesting or even connect or explain the concepts on the slides. The book is extremely dense and not useful. Each week we have a lecture, quiz, video case study, and a discussion post on the video. There are 2 tests, 50 multiple choice each. If you are willing to spend hours looking up every single answer in the textbook, you can get an A. You might die from boredom in the process though.

Professor Kligman is amazing, he is an old guy but his experience is just amazing. Some people might find him dry, but if you really listen hard and not look into your laptop the whole time, you will actually learn a lot from him. He has been a sales professional for a really really long time and it shows.
He gives weekly online questions, 10 questions straight from the textbook. very easy. He has one mid term and one final which are also straight from the text book. Also its open book and online. So yeah, if you get a B in this class, go kill yourself.
Its an easy A+ but if you really listen and really read the text, you will learn a lot from this course.

The night class only goes for 2 hours tops. There are no tests. A guest speaker will occasionally come in, and you must write a short 2 page report on the presentation. Reports all get A's if you hand them in. There is 1 group presentation on a nonprofit of your choice. There is also a group presentation on a case which acts as the "Final."
He's older, but he definitely has experience and it's hard not to respect him. Attendance is taken every class. This class is recommended since there are no tests and it's difficult to not get an A.

Easy easy class. but didn't really learn anything. His lectures are primarily stories and rarely does one has any real value to the class. not a bad guy, but if you really want to learn something i probably wouldn't take him. if your looking for an easy A with a light workload, then take him

Light workload plain and simple.
If you pay attention Stan gives many antidotes from his decades of sales experience. There is a lot to learn from this man if you care to.
Would retake.

His classes are a complete drag and boring. very boring...
But his class is an easy A. Take home online quizzes, midterms, and finals straight from the book. Need i say more?
Another thing, if you do happen to listen in class, the guy does have some valuable experiences he shares with the class.

Stan is a pretty solid teacher and a good guy. Although it does not seem you learn alot about the topic, you learn alot from him if your willing to pay attention. He has experience, years of it, and what he says is valuable. I think a big drawback of his class was the fact that he used 6 classes to just do presentations, it really made the class boring and drawn out by the end of the term. He grades easy and fair so you really can't complain about your grade. He gives you every chance to make sure you get an A or better.

Stan is the man! You will learn so much from this guy. This is not another class that you have to take. He is easy, you will enjoy the class, and learn life lessons. I feel like the guy is my grandfather, telling me his stories of success. He has had a good life being an honest and good man. Take his classes before he retires!!!

In ten weeks, he lectured 3 times. The other seven weeks were devoted to boring student presentations. I'm not paying all this tuition to listen to other students. I expect professors to teach, and Kligman did not teach.

The whole course was focus on teamwork. Homework assignment, presentation and MKTG Game was all group work. Class was somewhat interesting but did not learn much about marketing concepts and theories.

He is a really nice teacher who always makes himself available and cares about the students. The class is a little useless, but he makes it alright.
