Pros: She is a really nice professor ! It would be easy for students to get an A in her class. She helps me a lot and replies my emails very quick.
Cons: Sometimes classes are not that fun

Pros: She's very nice and patient. Grades fair. Take her if you want a easy class.
Cons: The non-native speaker class meets 5 hours a week and 4.5 of them we were talking about nothing. She talks so slow and and she's totally disorganized. She asked us what does the words "patience" and "disadvantage" mean. We non-native speaker does not mean that we don't speak English. I sat in class for 2 or 3 hours and never knew what I was doing.
Easy but boring class. Can't really learn anything (so far). Don't take her if you want a structural class and value your time and tuition.

Pros: She is an easy grader if you follow her rules. She likes when you ask her questions and write good posts (if you have a hybrid class). I had her at 8 am this term and as long as you show up and turn in your work, you'll be fine!
Cons: She is kind of disorganized and will assign homework that she won't even collect or grade. Her projects can be long, but she grades them pretty easily.
If you're hesitant, take her... It's worth it for an easy A :)

Pros: Great teacher, learned a lot, not a hard grader,
Cons: none really, very understanding and helpful
had her for 3 terms in a row for english 101-103, great professor. intentionally kept taking her each term even though it was an 8am class (hybrid though). decent amount of reading but not a hard grader, fun projects, and very helpful

Pros: Very understandable professor. If you raise your hand and participate in class you should basically get an automatic A-/ B+ in her class. Her reading assignments are interesting and easy reads too, but she assigns a lot of readings. Her quizzes are also very easy.
Cons: None.

Pros: very easy grader. I'm a horrible writer and i still got A's on all my paper for this class. The topic were really easy as well.
Cons: The subjects she choose for post were always about race issues. she always made the class attend a play on their own time and money in center city
All I did was visit her during her office hours twice, and from that point on she loved me. just put in some face time and shes an easy A

Brubaker is a great professor. She does a great job at adapting the syllabus to fit students needs. She always is open to alternative assignments.
You are expected to keep up with all online work for hybrids, but she gives a fair amount of leeway.

Oh how I love Sharon Brubaker, let me count the ways:
1. Very easy course. She doesn't require that much of you and grades fairly nicely, just make sure you get the requirements right ahead of time.
2. Gives you a lot of leeway, always willing to give extensions or let you fit an assignment to your individual needs.
3. Let's you sleep in class and doesn't get offended. Will use you as an example though, so be careful.
4. Class discussions aren't exactly enthralling unless you have good people to talk. Brubs loves a good joke.
5. Take her. You'll enjoy every minute.

Would not recommend taking if you prefer a structured class. The assignments are never officially understood and are rarely interesting topics. I was told she was an easy grader but am finding the complete opposite to be true. This shouldn't be considered an english class, there is rarely any english related assignments. She's one of the sweetest professors I have met but would definitely not take this class again.

decent teacher i guess, but does not really teach much, gives loads of work but grades extremely easy so it is good. some quizes are extremely hard, others are an absolute joke. she is not really too interesting but the lack of information covered in the class makes it okay. you honestly dont do anything, her class is agonizing to be in, but is very easy, i would recommend again

Really liked her and took her twice. She was so nice and cared about students, however the class was realllllly boring and when I switched to another teacher I realized she was not one of the "easy" graders. Overall I would probably recommend her
