Pros: Don't know where do start. This guy is an amazing human being and probably the best English professor at Drexel. always on time. Very easy going and willing to help. He knew some of the classes were hard and always responded questions very very quick.
Cons: nothing
the class was moderate-hard. A lot of papers and a quiz every class. Maybe there is too much work for a 3 credit class BUT YOU WILL LEARN A LOT. i took the special Business Literature class with him (Eng 395) and had to read and write a lot. The articles were great(mostly HBR articles) and 2 books i think. Scott will walk you through whatever you need. Don't expect to just go to class and do nothing. There will be plenty of work that you need to do but with Scott you can mange to get an A as long as you get involved, do your work on time and do NOT miss class and DO NOT BE LATE(he hates it).

Pros: Definitely the best English teacher I've had at Drexel. My writing has improved tremendously this term just from his class.
Cons: Although it's not difficult work, there is a lot of it, but that is because it is a writing intensive class so it is required.
Amazing teacher, honestly cares for students, funny during class and a pretty chill guy overall.

He gives a lot of work and you will most likely get a B with the same effort you usually put forth to get an A.
However, he will make you a better writer and a better student. I didn't really appreciate it at the time, but he really spent a lot of his own time with students helping them improve their work.
He even went as far as to contact me a term after I had taken him for English 102 to discuss how a topic that I wrote about in his class was now in the news.

Unless you want to devote 11 weeks to killing yourself on papers and web posts for a B, do not take his class. Professor Warnock is a very nice, smart guy, but he is a grading Nazi in a basic ENG 102 class. I would rather show up to class once or twice a week than to ever take an online class again. Thanks a lot for ruining my 4.0!

Professor Warnkock is an amazing man! And an amazing teacher at that. And now that i know i am golden for his class next term, i will tell you... Do not be afraid of him. Although he grades slightly hard, that has never stopped me from getting As. And i have never been good in eng. He helps you so much, that you will easily get a b if you just listen and work hard. You do alot of posts and reading, but compared to a three day a week class, its much less reading. Keep in mind you only have him once a week. I would definitely recommened professor Warnock.

do not take professor if you want an easy workload and an easy A. He gives a lot of work and a quiz every class. You have to do alot of posts, and it takes up a bunch of time.

I did not like him and I would not retake. I think he is just way too hard on students, acts like he cares, yet does not offer much help. He is also not very understanding of problems if you have them, and they affect your attendance. If you seriously miss more than three classes he WILL fail you regardless of the situation most likely.

Professor Warnock is no doubt the toughtest teacher I've had at Drexel. He is a rough grader and the work load is very heavy.
That being said, this class has made me a much better writer, and i actually enjoyed doing some of the assignments. If you read the assignments before the class and follow the instructions on the assignments, you should get at least a B. Professor Warnock really makes you work hard for the A. If i had to take another English class, i would take him again in a heartbeat.

Great teacher. Right up there with Riggs and Stein. He is a rough grader, and you have 4 papers, but its not that bad. Just make sure you follow directions and you will be fine.
Would defonitly retake.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Yes, the workload is relatively heavy, but still reasonable. While not the easiest grader, Prof Warnock is still fair. He expects a lot out of his students because he has confidence in them and wants to see them put forth their best efforts. He has a great sense of humor. Makes class fun and insightful. Prof Warnock truly cares about his students as well -- his door is always open. He encouraged me to come talk to him about the class, my writing, and just anything else in general that I might need advice about. My only regret is not taking him up on that offer! If you want to learn a lot and actually look forward to going to class, take Warnock. Just be willing to actually put forth a little bit of effort. It will be well worth the rewards.

Good dude, great professor. makes class interesting, and his heavy workload forces you to keep up with the readings so it actually benefits you, because once you do everything it really isn't that difficult. If i had another english class i would only take warnock.

This man is amazing. I don't understand why his "fair grader" level got low marks. If you do your work, and put forth a bit of effort, you'll pass with flying colors. Like most classes, keep up with the pace, and do your work, and he'll return with the utmost respect and care to improve your writing. If you have trouble, definitely go to his office- he'll help you put your thoughts together, and it lets him know you actually care about your work.
All in all, great prof!

I took prof Warnock's online english class and it was ok. He is a tough grader mos likely because he is a first year teacher. But he really cares for the students and is a good teacher. The reason why i wouldn't retake his online course again is because he really changed to format 1/2 through the year and made us do this horrible busy work, but still a nice guy.

Prof. Warnock is definitely one of the best teachers I have EVER had. Class discussions are always really interesting; he let's us talk about stuff on our minds, and somehow makes it relate to that day's topic. He is a tough paper grader, but he will def. improve your writing. I would highly recommend Prof. Warnock to anyone.

It's really hard to get an A in his class. He really makes you work. He really pushes his students, but he makes classes extremely fun. I can honestly say that I have never been bored in his class. I think he's an excellent teacher.
