Cons: nothing
the class was moderate-hard. A lot of papers and a quiz every class. Maybe there is too much work for a 3 credit class BUT YOU WILL LEARN A LOT. i took the special Business Literature class with him (Eng 395) and had to read and write a lot. The articles were great(mostly HBR articles) and 2 books i think. Scott will walk you through whatever you need. Don't expect to just go to class and do nothing. There will be plenty of work that you need to do but with Scott you can mange to get an A as long as you get involved, do your work on time and do NOT miss class and DO NOT BE LATE(he hates it).
Cons: Although it's not difficult work, there is a lot of it, but that is because it is a writing intensive class so it is required.
Amazing teacher, honestly cares for students, funny during class and a pretty chill guy overall.
However, he will make you a better writer and a better student. I didn't really appreciate it at the time, but he really spent a lot of his own time with students helping them improve their work.
He even went as far as to contact me a term after I had taken him for English 102 to discuss how a topic that I wrote about in his class was now in the news.
That being said, this class has made me a much better writer, and i actually enjoyed doing some of the assignments. If you read the assignments before the class and follow the instructions on the assignments, you should get at least a B. Professor Warnock really makes you work hard for the A. If i had to take another English class, i would take him again in a heartbeat.
Would defonitly retake.
All in all, great prof!
