Pros: - Goes through step by step for each topic
- If you are lost at all he is more than willing to answer any questions you have
Cons: - Some people found him unfriendly
Helped me easily understand all the necessary math concepts for all the quizzes/tests. He does take attendance, non issue for me but others may dislike.

Pros: Ray is awesome
-Goes over material over and over until you get it.
-Ends class early on occasion which is nice since math can be a drag
-Funny, smart, has some really cool shirts (Portal lol)
Cons: -Ray really is a 5 star professor, however, I am taking away a star due to the difficulty of the material.
-There was one section of the class that I just could not pay attention to. It required a lot of work per problem and I just wasn't focused. It wasn't Ray's fault, it was mine.
-I honestly thought 102 was easier than this (101).
If you are not Math savy, this course is going to be tough for you regardless of who you take. I received a C+ in this class and I am an A student. I did not pay much attention during the middle weeks of his class. My struggles could have been avoided had I paid a bit more attention. Overall, I would suggest Ray to all students

Pros: -Genuinely wants students to learn the material.
- Teaches by showing examples of problems
Cons: -Wants students to learn the material so much that he is almost zealous about it. Gets easily frustrated if questions arent asked on recitation days.
- Teaches by showing examples of problems that are worded very differently on quizzes/exams
Unless you are good at math/calculus, I do not recommend Favocci. He teaches by showing examples but the wording of his tests/quizzes is very confusing. I am and never have been good at math and might have to drop the course because his teaching style does not work for me.

Pros: Quizzes and tests are a little hard. Very good instructor. Will definitely teach you Basic Calc. Even let's you leave if the lecture is done quick.
Cons: Is not an easy teacher. Must show up to class. Like all math 102 courses. There are 2 exams and a final. along with mathlab and a couple quizzes.
If you plan on learning some calc fundamentals this is the right professor.

Pros: Nice guy
Explains things clearly
Works with you until you get it
Available outside class
Fun in class
Cons: Maybe a little bit too much homework?
He was a really good teacher. He seemed to really want you to succeed. He was willing to let me reschedule my tests when I wasn't able to make it, since I was commuting.

Pros: Great guy, explains to you every question that you might have.
Cons: Sometimes it will take a lot of time for him to finish an exercise. Uses a long way to solve it.

Cons: Taught really fast and had a hard time understanding his way of teaching. He would skip steps when teaching you because he already solved the problem in his head

Great teacher. Has lecture days where you take notes and go over multiple examples of the new types of problems then he has days where you can ask any question about the homework or on the section in general... Best math teacher I have ever had. Make sure you take notes- they are very helpful when doing homework and studying for quizzes and exams

Great teacher, really make things easy to understand in logical order at a good pace that everyone is happy with. Always tries to answer questions in class, and help students out right after class. Go to the classes, do the HW and study for a couple hours before the two tests and you will get an A. Attendance is not required in his class, but is highly recommended.

he's a great teacher. He's really good at explaining topics, and he's interactive. Unlike my other math teachers he actually allows participation and doesn't bore me to death. If you have a question he's very understanding and helpful. I think he really cares about the students. He knows all of our names and everything. but he is honest, if you're not doing well, he'll let you know.

Mr. Favocci is an awesome teacher. He's fair and understanding about everything. I didn't realize a homework assignment was due, and he gave me a one day extension. His quizzes and midterms are easy to do as long as you pay attention in class. I would definitely take him again.

I think he sucks...he looks miserable every day like he hates his life and his job..he doesn't go through the material in detail and if you do bad he almost seems to get frustrated or pissed? It's really strange. I would NEVER take him unless your super good at math and it doesn't matter who you take.

Favocci is an awesome and caring teacher. He is a bit of a stereotypical nerd, what with the bent-rim hats and plaid overshirts) but he truly wants to help you understand everything he teaches. Quizes are easy as hell and some are take homes. Just do the assigned problems, which are not mandatory, and ask him questions about problems you had and you are set. He fully explains it so that a math whiz and an idiot can comprehend. Recommend him

he's not bad, if you can study on your own and have a background on what he is saying then you dont have any problem but if you want someone who teaches everything in the book from A to Z bases then i suggest you take another professor, as for me i did spend ALOT of time answering the h.w and the project,it just take alot of your time

One word: spectacular! Never makes you stay longer than you have to, explains material clearly and makes it easy to understand for those who didn't take calculus before. He also only goes over homework problems requested and thank goodness has excellent handwriting.
Although I hated the class because I took calculus in high school and was bored out of my mind, he made it better than it would have been in other MATH 102 sections. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

I had Elaine Kyriacou for Math 101 and I had been extremely tired of her teaching style. Shes a nice old lady but treats you like you are her 4 year old grandchild. Raymond on the other hand is a great instructor who can easily help you out step by step. He doesn't extend classes until the time it is supposed to end unless he really needs to. We don't waste time in class just to do homework or study. We do the homework at home--what a concept--and cover what we don't know in class. He's very understanding and is young enough to feel your stress. Shortest class with him at one session was 4 minutes since he was tired from coming early to the exam. He let us go early and that was greatly appreciated.

Had Ray for both Math 101 and 102. He is the man! Easy class load, the guy is a huge dork but he has a great sense of humor and makes class fun. Always lets us out early and the tests aren't hard or tricky as long as you know the material and listen when he goes over the homework.

THE man. he's obviously really dorky, but he's the coolest dork ever. if there's a really hard problem at the end of the homework sometimes either he doesn't know how to do it or it takes too much work, so he just says to not do it. you could get anyone to sign you in during class. cake.

Ray is the man! His shoes are always untied and he has like 200 differnt colors of polo shirts which he wears most of the time. Class is definitly well taught.
Ray makes things easy and gets to the point. If you attend class and do the homeworl, you'll get an A. One of the best Math teachers!!
