She is awesome!! I took her for one of my free elective courses. She has a no cellphone/laptop policy. I mean you really don't need it at all, she is hilarious and teaches the material really well. It's kind of hard to fall asleep in the class. The exams are straightforward. The textbooks don't really help much, as the way to do well on the exam is to take lots of notes. The projects are really easy, as long as you try your best you'll get an A. I would take her again if I have any credits left over.

Pros: She is passionate on her class. The materials are interesting. Several take-home quizzes are given, but they are all easy. Only one Midterm, attend the class, read some book, then you can pass it. Final is a take-home/ 4-page/ single space paper. Not hard.
Cons: Attendance is required. Don't play computer or other things in the class, she will get mad with you.
She is an easy grader. You can get a good grade if you do good on quizzes and final even though you fail on the midterm.

She’s enthusiastic about art history, which made the class interesting. For the exam, she will put up a picture on the projector and you have to answer questions in regards to that picture/piece of art. I really didn’t like this format. You need to know what period of time and name of the piece of art. Same thing for the final. I want to say she curved a bit because I got a higher grade than I expected.
There’s a research paper where you have to visit the Penn Museum and choose a piece of art to compare/contrast with one that was discussed in class. She gives you a list of art that you can choose from in the museum. I suggest looking up information on the pieces of art and choosing one with the most material online (only academic sources can be used). Just pay attention and take good notes, book is not required.

Pros: Really nice, funny, cute accent, keeps class interesting, very passionate about her field
Cons: The paper that we had was much more difficult and time consuming than it first seemed (but it was interesting so it wasn't too bad.) Also, 3 hours straight of art history can be rough, but she does a good job keeping interest.
She's a great Art History professor and a really nice lady! The subject was sometimes uninteresting, but her enthusiasm alone kept me listening. We had one paper and two exams. They weren't ridiculous, but they did require a good amount of attention, so don't blow it off. I would definitely recommend her.

She is great. She makes the class fun just by being herself because she's such a funny lady. It seems like she is really interested in the material that she is teach and tries to get the entire class interested. She only gave 1 paper which I got an A+ on having written the entire thing the night before. The midterm and final are the same format and pretty easy if you took notes.

She was a fantastic professor. Don't be an idiot, pay attention in class, she'll teach you a great deal about art history and makes class very intriguing. People who are just looking for a class to sit and play games on their computer, don't take her. She knows who isn't paying attention, She's awesome.

Pia is a great teacher. She knows that Art History can be boring and students aren't motivated to study so she makes class interesting. She also e-mails students notes on the lecture with listed images to study, which makes studying so much easier.

The class is boring, the tests are much harder and she asks for information that is almost impossible to find, not even in the textbook. The project is a waste of your time and isn't easy. Don't take if you want an easy class.

she is an extremely easy grader. if you show up for class and pay attention, you don't even need to study for the exam to do well. her class is made up of two exams and two papers. she grades more on effort than anything. she is also really easy to talk to when there is a problem with exam scheduling or a grade.

She's an amazing teacher!!! She makes class so much fun! I absolutely hated history until I took her class and now I absolutely love it! She didn't make it feel like a history lecture, she made it a discussion. She is very classy and I would definatly take another class of hers!

Pia is such a classy, great teacher. I adore her and don't think I will ever experience such a great teacher at Drexel. Being in class feels more like watching a piece of theater. She is so alive and really gets into the art work. She is always so happy and full of smiles. I definitely recommend her. You will fall in love with her and not want class to finish!

I had her for 101 my freshman year, and she is STILL my favorite art history teacher! She is just a complete doll. Whatever you do though, don't insult anything italian! Fair grader, cares about students, and REALLY loves what she's doing.
PS - Don't take Morscheck for ARTH 102 after having Pia. You will want to kill yourself.
