Pros: Michael Daniel is a very knowledgeable guy who genuinely loves talking about math. He gave us take home midterms and final which really took the pressure off the class and allowed us to enjoy learning. He also allowed corrections on homework assignments which also promoted learning. Very nice guy, would love to take him again.
This review is for Abstract Algebra I

Daniel is a good guy. His exams are not that hard, you just have to prepare for them.

Pros: There should be more professors like Michael Daniel at Drexel - he honestly wants his students to do well and doesn't want you to fail so he tries his best to help you out in any way he can. He's actually pretty funny and a very cool guy to talk to as well.
this review is not for multivariate calc, wouldn't let me choose a different course

Pros: -Gives 2 Practice Tests w/ solutions prior to each exam, including final
-Quizzes are 10 point freebies if you do the homework
-Drops the lowest 2 quizzes
-Goes over any questions every class
Cons: -Hawaiin t shirts
This class is very straight forward. You get the outline of the homework on week 1, and if you have a quiz each week based on homework and lectures. Each test even has a practice test. If you put time into this class (as you should, it's 4 credits) you'll do just fine. I did all the homeworks and the practice tests and got an A+.
As for the professor, he's a nice guy and he tries to be funny sometimes. He really knows what he's doing. Sometimes he amazed with some of the arithmetic he did in his head.
Also, EVERYDAY he asks if anyone has any questions, and will go over every homework problem if needed. Even if he spent 20 minutes going over questions, he'll still ask "Does anyone have any questions". It's perfect. The class is very clear, if you need any help he's very helpful. If you don't do well, it's your own fault.

Pros: Punctual, does his work
Cons: Sometimes a bit rude
In that class there were some students who could not understand the content well. He did not work his ass off to help them. If you understand math a bit better than others and can learn on your own I recommend this professor.

Mean
Do NOT take this professor. He is rude, condescending, unhelpful and refuses to give any sort of extra credit work. The problems he gives you in class will not help you learn the material on the midterms and final. Beware of Michael Daniel.

For Calc I, II, and IV choose someone else. He does not teach to the tests as others do. His quiz grades are lenient and if you apply yourself you can learn a lot through him, but you can get a better grade with someone else. His exam reviews are a joke because they are shaped by student questions, which can be helpful, but often times the students fail to ask questions about large portions of the exam.
