This review is for Abstract Algebra I
Cons: Does not go beyond of what he is supposed to do as a professor to help you get an A
Daniel is a good guy. His exams are not that hard, you just have to prepare for them.
this review is not for multivariate calc, wouldn't let me choose a different course
Cons: He will not help students with questions. He directs everyone to Korman. He is also a tough grader.
Teaches hints and tricks to solve certain problem.
Quizzes reflect exam questions.
Cons: dull
monotone
-Quizzes are 10 point freebies if you do the homework
-Drops the lowest 2 quizzes
-Goes over any questions every class
Cons: -Hawaiin t shirts
This class is very straight forward. You get the outline of the homework on week 1, and if you have a quiz each week based on homework and lectures. Each test even has a practice test. If you put time into this class (as you should, it's 4 credits) you'll do just fine. I did all the homeworks and the practice tests and got an A+.
As for the professor, he's a nice guy and he tries to be funny sometimes. He really knows what he's doing. Sometimes he amazed with some of the arithmetic he did in his head.
Also, EVERYDAY he asks if anyone has any questions, and will go over every homework problem if needed. Even if he spent 20 minutes going over questions, he'll still ask "Does anyone have any questions". It's perfect. The class is very clear, if you need any help he's very helpful. If you don't do well, it's your own fault.
Cons: Went too fast, didn't really want to catch me up.
Cons: Sometimes a bit rude
In that class there were some students who could not understand the content well. He did not work his ass off to help them. If you understand math a bit better than others and can learn on your own I recommend this professor.
Cons: Difficult to understand, doesn't teach well
Cons: Unhelpful
Mean
Do NOT take this professor. He is rude, condescending, unhelpful and refuses to give any sort of extra credit work. The problems he gives you in class will not help you learn the material on the midterms and final. Beware of Michael Daniel.
Cons: none really, just can't give hime 5 stars because he wasn't a perfect teacher
