Pros: Marna is the best math professor I have ever had, and I am sure the best at Drexel. She cuts to the point of what you need to know and breaks the math problems down so you understand what you're doing. One thing I loved about her classes was that she prints out notes and gives them to you, this way you're not writing like a maniac in class and can actually LISTEN and LEARN something about math. Even if you do get stuck, she is generous with her time and willing to help. I highly recommend her.

This lady rocks. I don’t understand how MATH 101 and 102 are taught at Drexel because I thought this was supposed to be a pretty good school and this math is what is taught in like 9th grade of a decent high school. Anyway Marna is really cool and while she does have an attendance policy you can get around it really easy. I used to just come on Friday when there was a quiz and just sign my name for every day of the week. There is a quiz every week and homework due pretty frequently but as I said if you have any sense you’ll either already know or easily pick up this math. One big con about this class is that you have to buy the $150 textbook to get the online code for the hw. I didn’t use the damn book once and when I went to resell it they offered me $5 I was so pissed. Other than that take this lady because this class is required.

Pros: Go to class, pay attention, do your homework, and you will get an A. Simple as that. And she truly cares about her students, wants everyone to learn. Also doesnt take the class to seriously, takes time to talk about other things which is nice since math for and hour and 30 mins twice a week can get a little rough. I am a pre-junior now and have taken many courses. Marna is in my top 3 professors I have ever had at Drexel. If she is available, take her.
Cons: None.

Pros: Great math teacher.
Really down to earth and really good at explaining things.
Cute ;)
Cons: none.
Marna is an excellent math professor. I've had her for three terms (Math 100,101,102) and she is by far one of the nicest professors I've had. She really takes time to make sure everyone is keeping up with the topics we learn. I am not a great math student, but going to her for extra help and getting advice from her about grades is really helpful, and she really cared about making sure I was going to do well in her class.

Pros: Very Easy Teacher. GRADES QUIZZES REALLY EASILY.
Cons: You can only miss 4 classes.
Mozeff is a very good professor. She teaches really well and loves to make corny jokes once in a while. She is laid back and the quizzes are really easy. You dont have to buy the textbook. She does make your print out the worksheets though. Mozeff assigns two homeworks. One MATHLAB assignment and one txtbook related. Textbook related is not checked (she goes over them in class herself). The mathlab is graded. it is really easy. there are 2 exams and then a final. (quizzes and mathlab are included also). Each exam is 25% of your grade. so if you dont look over your material your screwed. She doesn't make the exams, the department does. However, she will teach you really well.

Pros: Caring
Good notes
Awesome teaching style
Very considerate
Helpful
Cons: Can be difficult to meet with her
Prof. Mozeff is the best math teacher I've ever had. She gets all of her material from the textbooks but she has transparencies that make it a lot easier to digest and she will actually work through problems on the transparencies. Shes very helpful and really good about making alternate arrangements for things. She is a pleasure to be in class with and is a 100% re-take.

Pros: Absolutely amazing!!!! She is very thorough and will make time for any questions you have. Easy course.
Cons: Since it is such an easy class, you have to sit through it.
While I learned this material in like 6th grade, I didn't mind having to sit through it three times a week for 50 minutes. She provides plenty of time for questions but that sometimes means sacrificing time for the current agenda.

One of the best teachers ive had at Drexel. I am terrible at math, but she gives everyone the opportunity to get a decent grade. Normally i get f's and need to retake math classes, but I managed to pass this one on my own. Not because it was really easy but because I actually learned the material.

Marna is the best math teacher i've ever had. I was so bad at math in high school. I got C's and D's. In her class I've gotten all A's. She actually explains the material and if you don't understand it, she takes the time to go over it until you do understand it. I would definitely take her for any math class again.

(1) Marna does NOT have a nasal voice
(2) the only reason she goes slow is so that EACH and every person in class gets what she's saying
(3) she is slow and I dont see how this could hurt anyone. If anything it just gives you a more thorough revision
(4) she's so understanding, it hurts !....I came 1/2 an hour late for a midterm.....I was willing to still try and attempt whatever I could....BUT....marna actually let me take it for the full time.....WITHOUT asking for an explanation.....
(5) i HATE HATE HATE math.....but I yet got an A only to please her....
(6) yes she does try and do her best to keep the class quiet....even if she does have to flick the lights on and off....its only because she tries to complete all the work....and people take advantage of her in the process.....

Marna is one of the greatest professors at Drexel. She always makes herslef available if you need extra help. She breaks downs all the the concepts in an "abc" way so that everyone can understand. Even if you absolutely suck at math, she may just make this course might be your first A. The homework is kinda optional since she doesn't collect it. She always manages to make class fun even when it's 9am in the morning. Definitely take her if you can.

Marna has to be one of my favorite teachers I have had so far. She explains everything very well and if you have trouble with the material she will gladly help you. Class is great- she goes over the material, but she also has fun and enjoys just talking and joking with her students. If you do the homework that is graded and have even some idea of what you are doing there is no reason not to get an A

Marna is one of the best math teachers at Drexel. All classes have the same sylabus so the workload never changes. She's pretty easy to work with though, as long as you have a somewhat reasonable excuse.
Best class ever, half the class pregamed math and we were trashed learning about matricies, probably why I got that question wrong on the final. Still got an A
The turning the lights on and off thing is a lie.

I decided to retake this course at Drexel rather than taking it at a CC... best decision ever. I agree that Mozeff can be neurotic, but she tries to keep class interesting which is more than I can say for some teachers at drexel. I think she teaches the material at a slower speed (compared to Fields) and she tries to make sure that everyone understands the material. She not out to give you impossible tests or to screw you over. I highly suggest taking her.

I had Marna for my summer calc course at the end of freshman year-up until having her as a teacher I had been getting C's in Calc. Had I not been overworked w/ other obligations that summer an A would have been possible with her. I got a B with her. She is very organized with her lesson plans which is unusual for most of my other professors who just banter about their power points. She uses the board, goes over hmwk in class, was very approachable and is not stuckup- definately one of my favorite teachers here at DU. You can actually learn math in her courses and do well.

I dunno what everyone means by she goes to fast. Granted she talks fast, but she says a lot for a relative little amount of material. The lack of pace in the class would make it easy to zone her out except her loud nasal voice keeps bringing you back. I guess she's easier than other profs, but only because she explains things 10 times thinking nobody gets it, not realizing we all get it and don't care. She'd be hot if I could put her on mute.

I got placed in her intro to Math 101 class b/c I failed the summer pre test. I never went to her class and she took attendance. I actually missed the 2nd mid term because of it, but she counted my first one twice which was cool. I really think I failed her class, but she gave me a D, which was cool, too. She was nice. Take her if you wanna actually learn Math...She really cares about her students.
