 Pros: She gives nice detailed lectures, tries to make class fun, very interesting to listen to
Cons: she talks really soft sometimes and then the next minute its like she's screaming but you get used to it

 We had 3 tests, 3 papers (2 debate and one topic report). Debate papers weren't too bad but topic report was difficult. Tests were fairly easy, make sure you participate in discussions though. The first week had quite a bit more reading than other weeks, which was initially overwhelming. It all works out though. She's really nice, and informative. She gives you chances to learn from mistakes which also helps to give a deeper understanding of the material.

i love her, she's awesome, but i wouldn't take her for anything you really need to learn as a psych major, grades papers a little harder but her tests are open book, open notes and 2 times out of 3 end up being take home. the tests are 3 stages individual, group, and class. she picks one, and if there's an essay its the individual

 She is the sweetest professor at Drexel. Her exams are open-book, open-notes. Workload is also not too much or difficult.

Sweetest professor at Drexel!! She is so understanding of everything and never gives you a hard time. She rarely ever cancels class and if she does she takes full responsibility for it and doesn't make her students feel guilty for not knowing the material like other professors. She's not only sweet and though some may say she is an easy professor, she is also a GOOD one. I learned so much in her class in the easiest way possible too. She has great stories to tell and class is always interesting. As long as you show up to class and take all her exams you'll do great! Best psychology professor ever, I love her!!!

 She is the best teacher ever. The Marlin Method of Examination is the greatest thing to ever hit academia - open book exams and then class answer sheets, almost guaranteed an A in this class!

 For the most part, I found her to be a really good teacher. While taking notes for developmental, I realized that she jumped from from one theorist to another, organizing the material from the age of person, which was interesting and actually really helpful as long as you realize it and organize your notes accordingly.
One criticism that I have of her is her reaction after at least 5 student group presentations that went over 20 minutes later than time supposedly allotted...each. It was extremely disrespectful to the following groups which were forced to rush through their presentations. Killen's reaction to all the groups that went over? Didn't say a word at any point about the time. She should have stopped the very first group after 5 minutes tops.
In short, it's great that you have her as a teacher, but don't be intimidated to let her know to cut someone off if they're wasting everyone else's time! Likewise, as a student, it's your job to be prepared for what is actually expected of you

 I have had her for both online and physical classes and the review is the same: she is AWESOME!!! She wants you to LEARN the material, not just memorize it. She makes class fun (she actually brought this huge dog to our PSY 230 class to illustrate something!) I would recommend taking her, you won't regret it!!!!

 Online courses are awesome..you do your reading on your own time and you post on the discussion boards every week. You use the Killen method of testing. First try, take the test on your own. Second try, take the test as a group. Third try, take the test as an entire class. You're bound to get a 100 at some point. We did have a HUGE final project towards the end which sucked and took up a lot of time but if you plan wisely, this class or any of her online classes would be awesome to take.

 at first I don't really like the way she is teaching, because she would scream at students and teach them like a baby. but as the course progress along, I understand that she does that to keep students' attention. encourage group study. exams is SO FREAKING EASY, OPEN BOOK MULTIPLE CHOICE. 3 PARTS OF THE EXAM INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, WHOLE CLASS (SHE WOULD TAKE 1 GRADE EACH TYPE BECAUSE THERE ARE 3 EXAMS THE WHOLE TERM). TAKES 1 ENTIRE WEEK OF CLASSES. CLASS IS VERY INTERESTING, REALLY APPLYING IT TO OUTSIDE WORLD. UNLIKE MOST TEACHERS THAT GO BY THE BOOK WITHOUT REALLY APPLYING IT TO THE REAL WORLD. WORTH THE MONEY AND WORTH AN A. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN

 she's a nut. she's also a prankster...for example, she gives out fake assignments that she tells you don't count after you've done them, or hands out bogus, terrifying syllabi and tells you they aren't real. take her, she makes class fun and wants everyone to have an A.

 marlin is my favorite professor at drexel. i would definitely take a class with her again. she engages the class in her lectures and she really cares about her studnets. even though she comes across as a huge mental case herself, she is very understanding of her studnets and is an awesome prof!

 Her voice is a little annoying but she keeps your attention. I suppose you wouldn't have to try too hard to get a good grade in her class, but if you do try you will really learn a lot. I found the subject matter interesting and the test format unique.

 INSANE and loud as hell. she gives test very weird but gives you an A. she barley reads the end of term papers and gives everyone and A or B. dont take her early in the morning our you'll want to die. and sit next to smart people during tests

 I swear this woman has to be on coke or something! Shes very hyper for no real reason. Great at keeping your attention and never boring. Her testing system at first seemed foreign to me, but it really is great. She is very active and interactive, this is definitely a class that I have no problem going to. Also, not a bad body for an older chick.
