Prof knows his stuff and gives great lectures, however course covers tons of material and many topics feel rushed. I found exams to be hard compared to the homework, which is given weekly and there's a fair amount of it, but it's not difficult and really helps comprehension of material and there's extra credit HW too. I recommend him.

Pros: Definitely learn the material and understand it because his style of teaching is very comprehensive.
Cons: His tests are hard but if you do the homeworks and go over the notes, you should be fine.
Good professor but definitely dont expect this to be an easy A. You must do the work or at least show that you are trying.

Good professor. His lectures are on powerpoints so all you need to do is come to class, fill them in, and study them. his problem sets are easy if you pay attention and make an effort. Cares about students and always willing to help you.
Makes the class interesting with his outlandish examples

Stehr is a mediocre teacher when it comes to intermediate level microeconomics. The tests are always harder than the practice exams he gives, and the homeworks aren't a piece of cake either.
But if you study on your own and really pay attention in class you'll be fine. Even though it is kind of hard because he isn't the most enthusiastic person regardless of his random jokes. Chill dude, not so great a professor.

The greatest prof i have had so far at Drexel. Yes his class was difficult. But he made it fun with corny jokes and relating it to EVERY subject you could possibly imagine. Econ is a tough class, but he hands out note packets that just need to be filled in, then studied. The homework helps if you take it seriously and learn from it and ask questions when it doesn't make sense. If you can understand the answers to the homework and review the notes packet you will A+ this course just like I did.

Mark Stehr is a fantastic professor. People are way exaggerating the difficulty of his class - I have a solid A without having read the book. If you show up to lecture and pay attention you'll be fine. He simply holds his students to a higher standard than most other Drexel business professors--which is good news if you're actually looking to learn something for once at this school. If you want an easy class, take Joyce.

Ohhh Stehr..Ok so I feel like his lectures were fine, he's pretty funny and I learned a wholeeee lot....the aplia is time consuming but also helps you understand everything..so it's beneficial.
The only negative thing I have to say is that his tests are ridicccuulloouusss....I seriously felt like i knew the material...but dang are his tests hard. No worries though, because he curves them a whole bunch.

his lectures are soooo boring. i tried to pay attention but couldn't after awhile. it sucks because his notes seem easy to take because he sends them to you and you just have to print them out.
seems like a good guy and i found his corny jokes funny sometimes, but ultimately i couldnt stand his lectures.

PHD. Stehr is a very good professor. His class is hard, but you learn a lot more. He doesn't really care if you fail the course but he is very nice. He curve a lot on his exams. Stehr's class is hard, but if you compare it with engineering major, its nothing. We are here to get good education, so why not take adventage of it and learn more?

ECON 201 is generally a very difficult course but Professor Ster does not make it easier.
His notes are very long and boring but a positive is that he prints them out and you just fill in the notes on the sheets. So it saves you a little writing.
He is an okay teacher but I just don't think he teaches the material very well.

The person commenting below is way too extreme. If you do the work and study, you'll be fine.
His workload ISN'T ridiculous.. you only have one online quiz a week (you get a 35 pt cushion for the quizzes). Then there's 2 midterm + final.
His lectures AREN'T pointless because the free response of the tests come from the lecture notes. They are a bit boring and he does throw in random comments but he's just trying to get through the material as well.
The multiple choice part of his practice exam is very similar to the actual exam. And an A is 80 - 100 so that's a huge curve.
Stehr's a decent professor and an intelligent guy who knows what's going on. If you are a diligent student, you'll be fine.

Where do I begin with this prick...
First off, his workload is ridiculous. NO OTHER ECON 201 Professor gives this much work. He makes this class unnecessarily hard. His lectures are pointless. You WILL want to shoot yourself. I would literally watch paint dry before sitting in front of this guy again.
AND, last, but certainly not least, his practice exams look NOTHING like the actual exams. None of the questions are the same and it's zero help.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Take this class if you want a lot of work and come away knowing nothing about econ and don't care about your GPA.
I went to every class and missed one, and it was the only class he took attendance in so I got no credit for coming to class.
I went to him several times with problems and he told me i could get no extra credit and I needed to invest more time in it. But i was already doing work at least once a day.
He also had really annoying examples and wierd comments like about how he eats raw cookie dough.
BAD IDEA!!

seriously people, his class is so easy. you dont even have to do that well on the aplia assignments and if you actually do something like, oh, i dont know, GOING TO CLASS, you should have all the lecture notes and the tests are just like the lecture notes and the aplia assignments (but easier than the aplia questions). if you dont get a good grade in this class, you have to be the biggest fucktard in the universe!!

hes not a good teacher at all. I paid close attention in the class and did my homework regularily aswell. He has to understand that econ is not the only course his students are taking. He makes the course too hard. The quizes are no where close to his notes. My other friends who took the same course with different professors got much easier quizes and homework was not that hard aswell.

He's ok. I can't see really disliking him or really liking him. It's a tough course and he tries to make it fun. He's not afraid to fail you, even if you try hard but just can't get the material.
If you are having a bad day or go blank, the tests are really easy to fail. You do get to take the midterm home, but even with the book the answers aren't exactly easy.
If you don't have to take the course, or if you question your math, then skip the course.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE IDIOT BELOW!they just kept submitting feedback over and over to bring stehr down. Just go to class, pay attention and anyone with a brain could atleat get a B. Alot of quantitative math so make sure you know how to handle your shit! Otherwise it will be rough for you, if your not so good at math, Grab a commerce engineer from the class to help you out.

The person before me could not have taken the fall 05 course. He can be funny at times, mainly because he appears to be so out of touch with the students and he's not even that much older. A problem that I see is with him being the only teacher of 301. I would recommend another teacher but you'll get him.

He is a very odd professor to have. All he does in class is write the same notes that you can pretty much get off his website and reads them. his exams are nothing like the homework assignments which are not easy to begin with, dont be suprised if you fail both the midterm and the final but so will everyone else so he does curve at the end of the term. i ended up with a B somehow but he is deffinitely hard. Avoid him if you can because i promise you, you won't learn anything.

Professor Stehr got his degree in a cracker jack box. He was the worst professor I have ever had. I want to even go as far as worst than my high school teachers. I've never had to write down so many notes off the board, and learned absolutely nothing from the notes. Worst semester of my life.
