Set in her ways
Attendance
Reads directly from her power points which she puts online. Super boring.
Question on midterm was vague, I interpreted it differently than she meant, took 25 points off and wouldn't hear my side of it. Walked away from the class with an A-.
Lets you leave class early though almost every class.
Assigns a lot of reading, I didn't do any of it though.
Discussion posts due every Friday night on blackboard.
One group project, very easy.
Overall, easy class. I just don't believe in her ideals, making for a frustrating 10 weeks.

Easy A class. She gived 2 online quizes and one paper at the end of the term. Take notes in class to pass quizes. Her classes are boring but attendance will boost yourgrade.

Pros: Easy
Cons: Boring, never know what your grade is going to be.
If you want an easy A, I'd go for Peggy, but class is incredibly boring and difficult to sit through. She reads directly off the powerpoints, and rather quickly, so I wouldn't even bother taking notes. She posts her presentations online now anyways. There's a group project that she grades really, really easily. Her quizzes are eh, all over the place. She did a review with us in class and not one question that was on the review was on the quiz. Takes attendance, but I've taken her before and sat in the back by the door and 10 min after attendance I would leave. I got an A.

Pros: grade bases on 2 or 3 quizzes, 1 presentation, 1 paper. all quizzes are online and not timed, no exam, no attendance policy.
Cons: boring, she reads off powerpoints word for word, def bring a laptop to class to do other things during this time

Pros: Extremely easy grader
Cons: Does not care whether or not you learn anything. She just reads her powerpoints word-for-word and is not engaging at all. We hardly did any work in this class at all. There was one group presentation, and I did not have adequate time to prepare for mine because she only gave me one week's notice of my presentation date.
Do not take if you're serious about actually learning something.

Pros: So easy and flexible! You can basically turn things in whenever you want as long as you make up some excuse. No tests, a few essays and one group project, so a crazy light workload.
Cons: She's pretty boring. She reads directly off of her powerpoint slides.
I'm going to take her as much as I can

Pros: She is very laid-back and reasonable. If things come up, she understands if you need more time for an assignment. The work is simple.
Cons: She can be a little boring. She reads directly off of her powerpoints which puts me to sleep.
I'm trying to take her as much as I can because she's an easy a.

Class was interesting and professor was very knowledgable. We read very relevant material and saw some interesting films. She's a smart woman and I learned a lot from her. The only downside to the class was that she attempted to get everyone to participate by speaking but no one ever would. That isn't her fault the students just need to be more into the material.

Nice woman, seems to care alot for the students. Fairly easy grader, if you do the assigned reading's. Can be boring at times and she goes on tangents. Take notes if you take this class, they will come on handy eventually. No final and just two papers and two quizzes and a group thing.

Really boring class. She basically just reads off powerpoint slides everyday and does nothing to keep class exciting. She often tries to ask class questions but no one answers cause everyone is zoned out and staring at nothing. Light work load though, besides the final project no work was needed out of class. If you give a half effort you'll get an A.

May not be the most exciting class you'll take at Drexel, but she does a good job. Genuinely cares about her students, willing to help if you ask for it. Gives a few in class assignments and quizzes. Assignments may take an hour and quizzes are curved.

Good professor. Medium workload. Easy grading. Cares for students. Attendence required. I would retake.
Course: SOC 250
Work: 4 Excercises, 3 Quizzes, No exams. Lowest quiz dropped and 1 research proposal.
Strategy: Work hard - There is no alternative for that.
Good luck

One of the nicest professors at Drexel. Really cares about her students and will go out of her way to help students if there are any problems. Quizzes are kind of hard, but there are usually curves. Spends a lot of time answering students questions and concerns and responds promptly to any emails sent. Really caring professor

She is very nice teacher. Very receptive to students' needs. Cares a lot about everybody and about how we understood the material. For quizes she curved and it is pretty much an A if you allocate appropriate time and effort. Highly recommend.

i loved her. she loves kids who speak up and have insightful opinions. sadly, most of the kids in the class were dumbasses. however, she helped me with picking a minor and really seemed to want to talk about my soc interests. and she has good stories about being an activist

She was very laid back, patient, and approachable. She gave us a pretty generous extension on our final papers and was lenient with grades. She made good use of webct, using it to distribute homework assignments and lecture notes and sample final papers and info on doing the research for the paper. Points were not taken off at all for late homework assignments. The only downside was that the subject matter was so boring it was hard to stay awake in class, and her lectures didn't help.

Class gets very boring, lots of silent moments where you can hear pin drops. She teaches straight out of book. Lots of emphasis on group work during class (which is easy). I thought her tests were a little too hard in respect to the way she presented the information in class. You actually need to do some reading for this class. This isnt a "remember the definitions" kinda class. You have to understand the definitions and then interpret them. Overall I would not take her again just because I had her for 90 minutes of complete bordom and attendance was mandatory. If she's going to teach word for word out of the book, whats the point of going to class? ... You should end up with at least a B when all is said and done

damnit Peggy, i am still pissed about the fact that i did all the readings, got A's on all the tests, did an outstanding presentation, and my roomate didnt do sh*t and fell asleep every class and he got an A and i got a B. take this as a testament to her teaching methods

Reads directly off her notes and posts them online so there's no point in going to class. Group project was really easy. I never read the book or the additional novel and I got an A. She does care about the students, but needs to work on making the topics more relevant and interesting.
