The fact that drexel hired a half deaf guy to teach a recessitation class ON CALCULUS.. shows that there is obviously no screening process for employees at all.
i had never done calculus, and was hoping for recessitation to clear things up from lecture, NOPE. I mean no disrespect for the hearing impared, but seriously... teaching? to make up for it, he usues a tablet pc.. which then also impares his writing...
Between his tablet pc scribblings, and extremly difficult to decipher "lessons" on calculus, i have no idea whatsoever how he became a teacher, why he continues to be a teacher, and why drexel still pays him.
do not take this class, it is a joke, and a waste of time.

Accu-Kirk! If you know the material this class is so easy it's a joke. If not, don't expect to learn much from Loveland. He can be pretty difficult to understand and his dependence on that stupid computer drawing pad thing makes his classes tedious. But attendance is part of your grade, so you have to go.

I dropped his class and switched to a new section but I have to warn everyone about taking this guy. He is the worst teacher at Drexel, bar none. He's deaf(literally) and speaks like it. Does not go over problems on the board and has no business being paid by the University. I am wondering why he is still in the school after a year, don't they pay attention to the course evaluations.
Do not take this guy. Absolutely horrible teacher.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE MATERIAL, YOU WILL NOT LEARN IT FROM PROF. KURT LOVELAND. I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT NO ONE TAKES HIS CLASS.

Prof. Loveland.. He gave stupid notes that did not help and he rushed through every lesson, assuming we could just read the book and learn math. I would kill myself if I had him ever again.
