Curves alot
Teaches well.
Approachable
Cons: Tough exams, but definitely doable
Should be an A if you put time into the class.
Very willing to help
Curves all of the exams
Cons: A bit difficult to understand at times - when a student asks a question he sometimes is confused as to what they're asking and answers something else
Also, if you do choose to take his course, you must attend every lecture since his exams are lecture-based. A majority of his problems are lecture note problems with a slightest increase in difficulty.
Professor Xi wants his students to learn organic chemistry, and he wants them to do well. He gives out take-home quizzes, which are not graded unless you do well. If you do well he will give you extra credit for the quizzes. Also, he gives out a practice exam for the two midterms -- study those and know all the topics covered and you should do well. The textbook is not necessary unless you need clarification on some topics. His notes are very organized, and easy to follow.
Great professor -- great at teaching orgo!
Cons: Boring lectures
Sometimes, a bit hard to understand
Note intensive course. Attendance not required but you should go, he tests a lot from his lecture notes.
Cons: Lectures are long and boring, but that is par for the course in an orgo class.
Interesting policy: Ace the final, Ace the class
