Rocky Balboa himself. This dude “old dude” is the coolest professor at Drexel, well it’s a pretty close fight between him and Dave Ridgway. For math though you cant get any better than “old guy” He’s such a nice guy hes hilarious and his class is so damn easy. He goes over everything in depth and will go as slow or fast as you need him to. The best part about his class is he broke up two bitches fighting. The one girl was like don’t look at me like that bitch and the other one stood up like she was gonna do something and he jumped in so fast that’s why hes rocky balboa. Other than the girl drama this class was amazing. He gives you an in depth study guide before the exams that really help you do well in the class. This class is a must take for anyone as a free elective. It is basics about probability and stats and he tells you the truth about why gambling is the dumbest thing you could ever do. Very smart and entertaining teacher.

Pros: Great great guy
Willing to help
Several assignments, easy
Cons: None
Professor Coppola was a great guy. As long as you go to class, turn in your assignments, do the required event attendances you're guaranteed an A. It really is that easy, he just wants you to do your part. 2 Event Attendances, 1 Landmark Attendance, and a few assignments. Class attendance is mandatory.

Pros: Amazing teacher! Because he is actually an engineer, he teaches from a perspective that makes what he is teaching much easier to understand. I had to withdraw from 101 the first time I took it and then I took Old Guy's class and passed.
He holds review sessions before each exam outside of class which are so extremely helpful. He is also always available for extra help if you give him a call. He will meet you at Starbucks on campus if you have questions before a quiz or something.

Pros: Everything. There isn't a better professor available to you. Sometimes he can get a little repetitive, but he means well and really wants you to 'lurn, lurn, lurn'. Mid-term and final are super easy. I'd gladly take him again.

"Old guy" is the best teacher I have ever had. I wish i could take his class for other math classes. I have enjoyed his every class this term. He feels a great responsibility to have every student to get the material and explains it in a very comprehensive way. Just LOVE THIS TEACHER:)

Pros: Patient
Understanding
Takes time to make sure everyone understands
Cons: Would be better off following his own lesson plan, not the math department
Really good teacher, strives to make math understandable. Is considerate towards students outside lives and makes himself easily available.

This professor is a kind and caring "Old Guy" who is focused on making sure the entire class understands the material rather than simply following the syllabus. He goes out of his way for all of his students, is entertaining and funny even when dealing with dry subject materials, and gives in-class quizzes not to punish the class, but to make sure everyone understands the material.

I would take old guy for EVERY class if I could. Really entertaining and makes class fun. I have learned the most from him in that class (which basically only had voluntary work)so far at Drexel.

Coppola is the man. First he wants to you call him "Old Guy" (be careful if you say "Old Man"). Aside from that he's professional and will help you become a better leader, presenter, and team player. His lab was helpful in developing leadership skills and becoming more effective at presenting.
The class has two essays due per term and you do a group project/presentation per term. You have a lot of fun in the class with group activities and if you're luck you'll get a good speaker once or twice during the term. Take Old Guy, he rocks.

great teacher, will help you with anything. i took math 279 which is a new course and he taught statistics but let us basically choose what we wanted to learn. it was really slow paced and easy and did his best to have fun in class and stimulate my braindead classmates. take math 279 if you hate math and just need to fulfill your math requirement

Great teacher, is very flexible. Just do your work on time and you'll get an A. Complains when you e-mail him with a problem and says you should call so you can get an answer back right away.

Great teacher who is really nice. If you fail his course its your own fault. He gives you his cell phone and will actually answer it to meet up and help you with anything. No BS teaching style.

Great guy, really cares about his students. He'll help you out even if its not for his class, and he'll talk to other teachers for you. He gives you his number and offers to make house calls. Just a great person in general, easy grader, I wish he was my dad!

Definitely Take Him! He's funny and caring and experienced in the corporate world, so if you have any questions, just ask him. also, he points out what is going to be on the exams thruout the classes. Mike's Bikes simulation group project is pretty much on your own though...but you can get that help from your TA.
