Pros: Gave you points back on the quizzes because the TA's don't know how to grade.
Cons: Terrible lecture. Has the worst slides I've ever seen.
I had to learn physics on my own in this class. I ended up getting A's on the midterms and an F on the final for my only freshman year B. I went to every lecture and learned nothing. PLEASE take Som Tyagi.

Pros: Goes over the concepts of the material in good detail. Easy to understand.
Cons: Goes too quickly through examples and doesn't really explain them.
Very nice lady and is willing to give you points back on exams if you ask nicely.

All I will say is if you have to take Physics 101 and 102 take Maricic because she is the best out of the worst. The other two professors are horrible and unfair but Maricic is willing to help students who try. Go to her lectures and office hours because she will know and help you. Once you get over the accent and her strange humor she isn't all that bad.

Cons: If you miss 2 webassign assignments, it sucks.
She's a pretty good lecturer once you get used to the accent. I would recommend going to lectures mostly because she goes over some example problems which usually appear on the exams. If you keep up with recitation, webassign, and lecture problems, the class is pretty fair. Heads up, if you have extra time, the practice problems in the book are helpful (one wound up on the first midterm) and the chapter notes (Tyagi bases the exams of them). The final was ridiculously hard (the questions, in general, were harder than the midterms) but I'm almost certain they curved it. Lab grades are all up to the TA, so try to get a nice one who doesn't care (I got a shitty one). I have never had physics before, but I thought the class was pretty fair.

Pros: Enjoyable lecturer, explains things pretty well. Actually a pretty normal person for a physics professor.
Cons: Goes through example problems way too fast.
Overall the course is pretty on your own, which is a good and bad thing. Just depends on what type of person you are.

She is a very...interesting person. If you like learning from people with very thick accents, and can sit through class without making fun of the accent, then you should take her class. I could not sit through class without ridiculing it, and I was unable to learn anything. But high school physics notes work just fine for this class, so...yeah.

Dr. Maricic was excellent and taught the basics of everyday physics in an interesting manner and made the class very enjoyable. she is very fair when it comes to grading as well. i would recommend her to anyone who wants to know the basics of this subject.
