Cons: His stories are so random and boring, no one pays attention.
Cons: takes attendance--make sure you show up (preferably on time)
one word: FORMATTING. In several cases, he doesn't read the rough draft or annotated bibliography, he just checks for his header and formatting. Make sure you have that, and you're good to go.
If you like English but don't want to dedicate TOO much time to the class, take his class. He's awesome.
He is such a sweet man. He jokes around a lot, so don't take anything he says to seriously. He is also very trusting if he likes you, and is also very understanding. His assignments are a lot of fun, and can be tough but he is willing to help every step of the way.
I would suggest everybody to take his classes if possible!
Cons:
Cons: attendance mandatory
Goes on tangents alot
Very Easy to get a good grade. class is simple and just listen to him he tries to do as much as possible to help
Cons: If you don't participate or miss too many classes, you will not get a borderline call on a grade.
Highly recommended!
He is an amazing teacher who truly cares about his students. You will learn a lot from him. I enjoy every conference with him.
He is not an easy A teacher, but an A is not impossible. As long as you make effort and do not write what he tells you not to write, you will have good grade. He grades very fairly.
Read instructions carefully for every assignments, utilize conferences and his office hours to get useful comments about your writing.
If you are good at writing, use these chances to chat with him. I often come to see him to debate about whatever we think about. He likes to challenge students just to help them become better writers. He respects and encourages students to state different opinions.
I really really recommend him to everyone.
Cons: socially awkward. attendance required
The class is not easy, but if you do the work you will definitely do well. If you put in the effort you will get an A, however if you don't follow his directions or slack off you probably wont do so well. Basically, you get back what you put out in this class.
TAKE HIS CLASS!
Understands if you're not the best at English. He really wants to get to know you and cares about the students. Pretty smart guy, I would have retaken him, but my other classes didn't work out to do so.
Workload: light reading from some of the Freshmen handbooks, but he goes over it. And about 3 papers. Usually the topic he picks is more broad so you can write about what you want.
Highly recommend.
