He is very listenable in class
Open to class discussion
Approachable
Cons: take attendance.
The course is very very dense.
Quiz is not exactly easy
He is probably one of the best professor I had, however, it is hard to catch up to some 300 pages reading over one quarter, and to be reminded it is a 101 class.
If you want to get an easy A, don't take this class.
But if you eager to learn, this is the class for you!!!
Catudal is great. Really understanding guy, really passionate about the material - wil lexplain things to you for hours if you want to. Always available to discuss coursework. The only problem is that the readings are incredibly challenging and the corresponding assessments are a bit hard to get through as well.
Little to No Homework
Cons: A little Condesending
Very easy class, at least for me. If you pay attention in class and participate like you are supposed to you can pass with an easy A or at least a B+. Although, she cannot admit that she is wrong at times and gets a little scatter brained
Cons:
He cares about his students, and even gave 10% extra credit with answers already posted on his website. When a lot of students complained about the workload, he cut down more than half the readings for the midterm.
There was a lot of reading, which he warned everyone about during the first day of class. It's definitely not advisable to push the readings to the night before the midterm/final, since you'll probably be pulling an all-nighter and still don't understand what's going on. If you follow along, though, you can see that he clarifies a lot of complex concepts as well as including background about the philosophers.
