 You really cant choose another prof. for sys analysis and design, uml diagram. He is really good at this, so you might as well learn from the best!

 Very good teacher, one of the best in the iSchool. Subject is kinda hard to love, but he does his best to make us understand. Would definitely retake.

 I have had him before in person and he is a wonderful a teacher in person, but online it was awful. He contradicted materials other professors have taught me in undergrad, the feedback on the assignments were aparently not as well as I thought. I got 90s on the assignment, so did my group partner, yet on the project for the same drawings we got low Bs. Not sure how, but the only thing I could think is, he didnt give detailed enoug overview of what we did wrong in the assignments. When you teach online, you have to adjust your teaching method, it seems he didnt and I learned nothing from this class. very disappointing, esp. since he known as one of the top teachers in IST. Take him in person, not online!

 Took his 620 course online. His online style is somewhat confusing. He doesn't give you much feedback on how you are doing thru the quarter, but is receptive to dealing with him personally. I think he writes very good course notes, but in the online version of this class you are kind of on your own, unless he improves his style. However, I do think he tries hard and cares that his students learn. This course material for OOAD in this class is difficult to get your head around if you've never had it.

 The man is a robot. He cannot comprehend students that are not 100% into the class. Half way through a 3 hour class you will attempt suicide.

 Like others stated before, this professor knows his stuff. Although there is a lot of material, he teaches it well and is a fair grader. If you attend class and do the work, you'll learn a lot.

 He's good and knows his shit. First half of the class was extremely easy, and it all went down hill after Song went on vacation and got the TA to teach pl/sql that does not speak a word of English. Overall the class was ok, just wish TA would take some ESL classes or not attempt to teach at all.

 He knows his stuff well. I would definitely retake. You learn a great deal in his course that can be applied to other courses.

 The class he teaches tends to be difficult, but that is what the materials are. He is always willing to take the time to ensure that everyone understands the materials, and is extremely fair when it comes to grading. Even in group work he can tell who contributes more than others.

 The hardest class I have ever taken but Song has the ability to real keep you motivated throughout the term. My final group project ended up being 48 pages or so long so be prepared to spend weekend after weekend working on this stuff.

 He is a great teacher and wants everyone in the class to understand all the material. He really cares and is willing to take the time to make sure you get what he is talking about. Also, he tries to lighten up class by attempting to tell jokes.
