 Professor Vong seems to put effort into making the class as boring as possible. She basically reads directly from the textbook and can never really answer questions. Her exams aren't impossible but she takes off points for really dumb things. She wants specific answers for certain questions even though there aren't always right answers when it comes to art.

o forgot to sign in twice and missed 2 classes and went from an 88 to a 78.

 I have taken Art history courses before, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them! I learned by taking arth 101 with professor Vong that it is the professor that totally makes art history fun. Vong ruined it for me! DO NOT TAKE!
Her class consists of Two exams (midterm and Final) and a comparative essay report (which wasnt bad). However her exams are RIDICULOUS. Past art history exams consist of Multiple choice when it comes down to identifying pieces of art during the exams. She makes you memorize all of the dates, works of art, time period, and interesting facts about the pieces of art. then you have to define 10 terms. answer a few short answer essays and then write an essay! completely absurd. Vong completely forgets that students actually take other courses other than hers that require a lot of work.
You have to do her exams in BLUE BOOKS!! Like i said RIDICULOUS.
her lectures are extremely boring, doesnt even seem as if she is passionate about the subject. Take professor Gregory whenever you can if are going to take an ARTH class. He makes you want to stay the whole class and listen to what he has to say.

 I received a 82.9% in her class. 83% is for the B. She refused to round it up for the B. Never in my life have a seen a teacher want students to do poorly. Besides the grade she doesn't care if you learn she just cares if you show up. People just sit on there laptops in her class because even she doesn't care about the class. She goes out of her way to make exams impossible. She just reads from the textbook. You can do this on your own.

 ALl the below posts are total bullshit. Professor Vong was very nice, professional and caring towards the students. I had a family issue and she let me take the final two days late and gave it to me personally. Overall, I learned a lot and it was a good class.

 Worst teacher I have ever had at Drexel. Exams are 10 times harder then any other Art History teachers exams. She is dull, boring, rude and made me hate art history. Never take her class.
