He is such a nice professor. He really cares about his students. I highly recommend him. His class is interesting and he really knows what he is talking about. He is a pretty easy grader too.

Pros: He really knows his stuff and will connect you to some good contacts for the industry
Cons: I sometimes didn't know specifics for the projects and it made things a little bit confusing

Not the most exciting professor, but knows how to teach. Before each test, you get to take a practice test which uses some of the exact same questions that will be on the real test, so you can get a pretty good grade just by doing the practice tests and memorizing the answers to the questions you get. Only one paper the entire term. Reasonable workload for a 100-level course.

Great teacher, he has alot of real life applicable experience. He is a little old so his lectures may bore some people who just want an easy A. The topic in general is interesting and he is very relaxed with like 2 online quizzes at 20 questions each (pretty much definitions from book). Good fun class and GPA booster.

I don't know how anyone can say this man is a bad teacher. He may be a bit boring but he is one of the most knowledgeable professors at Drexel. He is also the nicest guy ever. I would retake him every quarter if i could. His class is easy and I also learned a lot! He is someone who you can go back to for help with anything. He really cares about his students.

By far one of the most boring classes I have ever taken. Sure he knows what he's talking about, but his manner of teaching is so indirect that I don't pick up on any of it, even when I do pay attention. I wouldn't advise taking his classes.

Kelley is an extremely easy professor. His class may be a bit boring, but he had enough experience on what he's teaching that it's easier to listen to him talk about simple straightforward stuff instead of someone who doesn't know what they're talking about (He gives extra credit at the end of the course for those with really good attendance and participation (even if he doesn't really give students the opportunity to participate as much), so just go to class). All his tests are online, and he allows you to take practice tests online as well. Take those test and study the questions, because they will show up on the actual test. Get your classmates to share their own as well, and you will get an easy A on every test. I highly recommend taking Kelley if you need to take this class, are short on credits, or need a GPA boost.

he is what he is. a conservative dude with a lengthy communications resume but class (powerpoint lecture-style) can be painfully boring. tests couldn't be more fair and overall you'll get what you need out of his comm class

Dr. Kelley is great for an easy A. His classes are boring, but fortunately there were computers at our desks to distract us. He gave out tests online through bbVista which were pretty easy. He gave us three practice exams that had actual questions from the exam. The questions were different each time so you could take the three exams and have a good amount of the actual questions. If everyone in the class compiled all three of their practice exams the answers to every question should be available. Pretty simple class. I'd recommend to anyone who has a decent work habit. For each exam our class got him to allow four practice exams because some people had errors or something. So we're really prepared. He cares about the students, unlike a lot of other professors.

Class is definitely boring, but thank god we had it in a computer lab, so everyone just surfed the net while he babbled ON AND ON AND ON. Easy grader, really cares about his students.. everythings done through WebCt, even exams. He gives like 4 "sample tests" in which he pulls questions out of what's on the exam to "practice"- study those sample tests and its a VERY EASY A. (attendance is required)

Although he is a fairly easy grader by giving points on our exams for questionable answers, he is very bad with recording grades. Class is boring with his rambling and random stories that do not relate to the subject matter. However, easy to earn an A. Personally, he screwed up my grades for 2 quarters because of his forgetfulness.

I am taking Kelley right now and I think that he is a pretty good professor. He will take many examples out from his own life and all, but I feel like overall he knows what he's talking about. His tests are easy...since they are online and MC questions. One thing is that gotta write a final paper about it. i didn't do it yet but he said that he's lenient in grading it. So anyway, I would recommend him to those who wanna take Com111

Very good teacher, class is very easy and all multiple-choice on the computer. You actually do have to show up or he will take off points.

Kelley is overall a good prof. He gives lots of personal, interesting examples of the communication principles. There is basically no homework, but I'm not sure if thats a good thing because you have to take more self-initiative to do the reading. The textbook (which he sorta helped put together) has lots of useful info too.

Kelley as a person is a great guy, he has a lot of job experience and seems to genuinely care about his students. But his lectures are just him reading from powerpoint slides and he gives work that just can't be done in the ten week term. It's okay if you don't get it done though, he'll just collect whatever you give and probably never even look at it. His tests are a joke, he gives you the questions and answers and you just have to memorize. If you are actually interested in learning about the class topic don't take him, but if you just have to fulfill an elective requirement and can sit through the bullshit go for it.

Professor: Very nice guy, very likeable 9/10.
Com 111: boring useless and did I mention boring and useless. Lots of busy work and bullshit but business majors have to take it.
