Cons: -has a thick accent so it is hard to understand him so you rly have to listen-never lets out early
-He is kind of a hard grader
-there is a presentation with a group but its rly easy.
-there was a final paper to do during finals week and it had to be like 6 pages long and was so annoying.
-his exams are online and are a little tough but manageable.
-there is also a huge photo essay to do which took me like 8 hours to complete
He canceled two classes this term, and barely response emails. It was really hard to communicate with him.
He delayed the first test and the first paper. The first test should be on week3, but we had it on week5. The paper should be due on week5, but we actually first talked about the paper on week5, and it was eventually due on week7. Thus, our second test we on week8 and third test on week9, and we still have a take home exam on finals week. He gave so much work! Not really responsible. He gave you the topics that will be covered in the test, but they are useless. Because when you take the test, you will notice that many questions are not under then topics that he gave to you. He test you many details. Even though he gave you two chances to take the test, it is still hard to find the answer for four chapters. He even gave you the question that was not in the reading chapters.
It was ok at the beginning of the term, but by the end of the term, it was such a pain taking his class.
Gives extra credit
Multiple choice tests frequently given
Cons: A lot of reading
Videos every week
Accent (Ghana) is hard to understand at first, but you get used to it
Very easy on grading, especially on written work. Requires a lot of class discussion, and will walk up to you and ask questions point-blank. Heavy reading load, sometimes 40 pages a week and a 1-1/2 hour movie, often posted a day or two before class. Discussion questions every week posted on BBLearn. Flexible on paper length - once asked for a one page answer, but accepted half a page from most of the class. Definitely a participation-based class. Everyone WILL be asked to answer questions several times throughout the course. Overall, good class, just read and discuss concepts/ideas. I got an A.
There are homework assignments that are designed to help you understand the material better. If you have trouble, he is always willing to help you.
Overall, he's a great professor.
