 Don't take her ever, she is not human being she is mean and evil. I was bagging her to give me some extra credit so could graduate on time, and she refused so I had to stay for another term, I had to forget about grad school. She does not have any understanding of the human morals. She will give you an "F" and she will laugh in you face. I would rather get killed in Iraq or Afghanistan then take her class again.

 She really does not seem to know what she is talking about most of the time and makes concepts seem more difficult than they actually are. I agree with a previous comment that if you ask her a question, you get a response completely unrelated to what you were trying to find out. She can be nice, but she's just frustrating as a professor. Sometimes you also feel like you're in second grade in her class, with the way she teaches.

 The worst teacher I have ever had in my life. She is so dumb its frustrating sitting through her class. She favors the kids who don't do any work and rattles on about absolutely nothing during class. When you ask her a question she never answers it just gives you random information that really has nothing to do with what you asked. never take this class

 While the class is somewhat boring, she really is an effective teacher. Teaches exactly what you need to know and does examples in class, which helps. Gives homework twice a week and reviewed each problem in class. Gives both take-home and in-class quizzes, which reflect the homework problems. She cares about her students and does try to help. Easy A as long as you keep up with the work.

 This class was soooo easy yes she is extremely boring and at 9 am I was dieing listening to her but it was an easy A and I actually did learn. She made us do homework every day and we had a quiz every Friday and that actually made me continue to do the homework and kept it fresh in my mind. If you did the homework you did well on the tests.

 As nice as Ms. Kyriacou may be as a person, she is simply a terrible professor, there is no question about it. Her methods are dated and backwards, she often comes late to class and simply grades with little margin for error. So much so that if problems are not executed exactly as she has taught then they are immediately considered wrong by her with no argument entertained. It makes it difficult to learn because she will only present one method for completing problems. She does not prepare you for the final and does not assign enough work for you to do well in class if you are a poor test taker. As a regular A and B student, I am disappointed to say that I certainly didn't receive either an A or B in her class, and quite frankly she is the reason that my GPA dropped at the rate it did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

 Ms. K is a great teacher. She is my 2nd math 101 teacher and she is way better than my first. I would def take her again, she is very caring and helful. In the math center 3hrs almost everyday for extra help

 Terrible teacher. I dropped the class two weeks in. You have to come to class the watch her do problems incorrecty on the board. So boring. I don't understand why she's a teacher. She's needs to retire now.

 I like her. I understand that an unmotivated student would fall behind in her class. However, she is very helpful if one seeks help. I like the way she pushes for her students to do review problems. I never have done optional math homework until her class, and that is probably why my grade is so high. If you need extra time on a quiz or something, shel give you your time. Hand-in problems were only once a week, and they counted for a lot of points. It really is not hard to succeed in her class.

 Since coming to Drexel I've found it difficult to find a really good math teacher, but Elaine Kyriacou tops off the worst teacher that I've ever had on any level of my education. Now I had a bad teacher for MATH 100, but I'm not sure what I wouldn't do to get back into that class now. This woman manages to spend 40 minutes of an 80 minute class making me want to bang my head against my desk in an attempt to black out just so I don't have to listen to her anymore. The other 40 minutes of class is spent sitting there doing nothing. She refuses to let people leave even though we aren't doing anything. Then she tells the TAs that she didn't have enough time to teach everything in class and that they should do her job for her! How do you do that?!?
Elaine Kyriacou is the WORST teacher I have ever had, in any subject in any grade. I would strongly urge anyone to avoid her classes at all costs.

 All i know is taht i have been in the class for only a week now and she is an attendance nazi. she doesnt unserstand that the material is mostly stuff that 90% of the class has done at least once before. she talks to you like your a moron, when in reality she is. attendance is only 5% of the grade so if your good at math skip the lectures and do the hw cause she is annoying about that.

 do NOT take this teacher for any difficult course. for the rest of us, do your homework during her classes and learn the material on your own. if you pay attention to her, she'll only confuse you and make you dumb. attendence is part of your grade, so just sneak out after she takes it. oh yeah, and dont ask her any questions. she won't know the answer.

 Having already experienced the horrors of math101 in fall term for a few weeks and having to withdraw, I thought Kyriacou was better than my first teacher actually. Don't get me wrong I don't think shes a good teacher but I didn't think she was awful like most are saying. Actually maybe she is?? My main motivation for going was to see what crazy outfit she would have on...and her hair is really fun to look at...and her random twitching. She was good for a laugh. Go to recitation tho and hopefully you'll learn something.

 The best part of her class was trying to figure out her age. Come on, there's nothing better to do. Skip the lectures and try to make the recitations as much as possible. That is where the real teaching takes place.

 Let me summarize the last day of her class: She shows up 10 minutes late like she always does...She then took attendance at the lecture (which doesn't count for anything) and read out the entire list of like 50 people rather than just asking for the names of the 10-12 people that showed up. We were supposed to get the first 12 problems of the review sheet done...she spent the first 20 minutes showing us how to solve a problem from the homework that was similar to number one...in the end we only made it through like 3 problems. She didnt have answers to any of the others...which made studying difficult. Overall, shes not a very effective teacher.

 I don't know why she is teaching in this school. She needs to go take up more classes in teaching techniques cos she really sucks. Grading part she doesn't control thats why I put it at medium but she should not be allowed to teach anymore.

 THIS WOMAN DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING. She is a horrible math teacher and should not be allowed to teach that many students at one time. She does not know how to do anything and does not know how to explain math to students. I had to learn everything on my own or from my section teacher. DO NOT TAKE HER!

 I got stuck in Pre-Calc again this year even though I took it high school. I learned nothing new or of importance. She doesn't know what she's talking about and gets corrected by students constantly. I could have never gone to class and aced the exams.
