Pros: Very knowledgeable about the content.
Exams graded fairly. 10 grade points are automatically given if you make it to class, participate, and are not disruptive. Does genuinely seem to care about students learning the content.
Cons: Exams are very challenging, and you can fall behind quickly if you plan to miss class.
Professor Sandberg is a great teacher, I learned a lot during this class. The The tests do seem very difficult but If you show up to class and take time studying outside of it you will be fine. The project she gives is fairly simple and is a pretty easy way to inflate your grade. If you care about learning finance and want to make a career out of it, I would HIGHLY reccomend taking professor Sandberg.

Pros: Easy to approach. Spending a lot of time outside class hours to help students on the material
Cons: Talking a lot about her family (which no one cares about)
Boring
She is the type of professor I hate the most. Could not learn anything from her class. Being a nice person does not mean you would be good at teaching so please teach as few finance classes as possible. I wonder how many students have come to hate finance just because of the way she teaches it.

Not a fantastic teacher. Spends almost the first half of the class talking about random stuff that doesn't really matter. There is no formula sheet for this class, you have to memorize every single equation. The tests consist of 20% qualitative and 80% pure math problems. The thing is, she doesn't really go over enough problems in class to fully grasp what she puts on the exams. That's why there are office hours that you can go to, she gives a lot of problems that are similar or even the same on the exam. I just wished I went earlier. The group project is easy though.

She’s a nice lady, but she goes off on tangents a lot. She tells stories, which may or may not be relevant, but either way they're way too long. Lectures are PowerPoints, which she prints and hands out to the class. Book is recommended since you’ll have to teach yourself some stuff. First exam was easy, nothing new - basic 301 material (DDM), second exam on 302 material and stuff from first exam. You have 10 fill in the blanks for financial concepts and the rest is 3 multiple step problems. Midterm average was 79. Second midterm average was an 81. There's one group stock valuation project. Overall, a decent professor.

Pros: - 10% of your grade is "respect points"
- 20% of your grade is an easy group project
Cons: - Spends at least 1/4 of every class period telling irrelevant stories
- Doesn't teach the material you are tested on
Out of every class I have taken at Drexel University she gets the "worst professor I have ever had" award from me. The reason for this is simply because she has failed to teach the class anything about Investment Securities. After learning nothing in class she then gives exams with no formulas for the problems and a fill in the blank section with no word bank or choice for questions that could have multiple answers.
Overall just a waste of time and tuition money. Unfortunately for every Finance major that comes through Lebow, she may be the only professor scheduled to teach FIN321 and it is a requirement.
Lebow cannot expect to rise in the rankings of reputable business programs when they have teachers like Sandberg on staff.

She is not a teacher, she is a politician. She doesn't care about your knowledge or your efforts and if you don't suck up to her, she will treat you like a piece of crap. I hope that one day she stops acting and actually starts treating all students fairly and give all of them equal opportunities. Also, she is a liar. Don't believe what she says. I am not gonna get into details of what happened, but she lied to me pretty bad. I hope that she undertands that all students pay the same amount of tuition and all deserve equal opportunities.

Pros: Professor Sandberg is a great teacher. She is always available for office hours- and usually will give you practice problems to work on that are extremely similar if not identical to the exam questions if you go to them.
Cons: Weekly homework and quizzes, but they are all online at your own convenience and you have multiple attempts to complete.

Her grading is ridiculous, and look at her experience. She has no real Wall St./Finance experience and she's teaching a very important class.
She brags about herself and her family too much.
And is very preachy. She is very pushy with the CFA, which is ridiculous especially for students who have no interest in taking it. Why take the CFA and narrow yourself when you could just get an MBA?

theres no work besides a project which is really easy. he class lectures are good and atleast interesting but she will just get off of topic. you have to read the book and do the practice problems she assigns. there are two tests and a final. the tests are extremely difficult. make sure you do the pracitice problems.

She didn't really teach. She does not manage class time wisely and tells random stories constantly. Also, her tests had a lot of random questions that try to trick you.

Horrible time management skills. Don't expect to get out early (or on time for that matter). Everything she says is fair game so pay attention in class (even though it may be tough).

She's a pretty easy grader but she gave us so much work. She asked for so much information in the weekly reports and the final project. You must work in a group because there's no way one person could handle all that work alone. Just give her what she asks for (no more, no less) and you should be good.

She knows her stuff. Her tests can be tricky, so don't think you can do well by memorizing the material. But I've taken Halverson for FIN325,323 and I don't think Sandberg is any harder.
I don't like her personality. She is very biased when it comes to people, and likes suck-ups who laugh hard at her corny jokes. Half our class worked at SIG and had experience with derivatives, so she assumed the rest of us were idiots. She spends class time talking about her kids and how fantastic and gifted they are, and how they fly in their private jet...who cares?

Very good teacher, but tough grader. Really enjoys what she is teaching, even at 8 AM. Tests are hard even if you study. You really need to know your stuff. I would recommend taking her, but be prepared to work.

Good teacher who explains alot. Can be boring as hell though. Teaches alot of concepts not in the book so you don't really need it. Tests are pretty hard even if you study. Still managed to learn alot though.
