Pros: I am not sure, he does care about things and works pretty hard
Cons: Such a jerk about assignments and working with other students. Will call you plagiarizing when you aren't
Will ask for assignment changes the day it's due.
Midterms and Finals are ridiculous. I took the class as an engineer who really enjoys programming and did all of the work, but the exam was outlandish and stupidly hard. Needed to know the obscurities and not the simple things in C++.
A lot of work, and I did all the work, but unless you are a CS major it is an impossible A.
Meh... another chalk on the board for those bad professors

I didn't really know him that well but he seemed like a nice guy. His teaching style is pretty decent. Class is an easy A.

Pros: He overall is a very understanding guy and will answer any question you propose to him. As well as willing to see you in his office hours or after class
Cons: This class is not too hard, but some of the homeworks are graded pretty strictly. You may only use what we have learned so far on the programs. Also tests are on paper.

Pros: Easy to get an A if you try
If you get the right TAs they are very helpful during the labs
Cons: Not understanding at all
Gave many people 0 for plagiarizing even though most of them just worked together with not copying
Can't work together on homeworks at all even though he advocates "pair programming" on the labs.
Lectures don't particularly help you learn the syntax any better
Would not suggest taking him unless you have to. I don't know if he acts differently for higher CS classes, but he certainly was trying to grade hard on our CS 171 class.

Pros: Seems like a nice guy.
Cons: Literally the worst person ever, he made me cry. Say's "um" over 50 times when trying to say one sentence. Will not allow for any legitimate excuses.
