Pros: Professor Drott knows his stuff. I think he grades fairly and he gives students a chance to do well. Assigns homework 1 week before its due so you have once class to ask questions before its due next class
Cons: Boring to listen to tbh. Cracks the driest jokes ever. Randomly screams or makes weird noises while cracking said jokes :/

Pros: Nice guy
Cons: The exam reviews are totally confusing. But once you figure out the answers, you're golden because they are the exact same questions on the midterm and final. Class is a little unnecessary though. He goes off on a lot of tangents and tells a lot of stories.

Straight forward class. He knows people are taking it for an easy A. Lecture was straightforward. He has practice exams that are exactly like the actual exams. You don't need the book. You can just study the exam and get an A. He takes attendance. He's a quirky, funny old guy.

Pros: Great professor, not a tough grader, used a generic test from online that had a study guide with it.

The class is taught really well. Drott is super funny and doesnt give way to much work. He also gives you the questions to the test so you can make up your own to give to him and have those on the test too which is super cool.

Very fair at grading, and understanding when students need a bit more time to grasp ideas. I took this as an online course, and he wasn't very "present" on the discussion boards. Many times it took more than a week to get answers to questions. He did however allow students to pre-submit the final so he could make sure students were at least headed in the right direction. He also provides audio files to go along with text books chapter, which helped tremendously.

Drott is the craziest professor i've ever had. He goes off on tangents about things usually for about half the class time. He is a bit absent minded and sometimes loses people's assignments so make sure you keep a copy of stuff for yourself. He does care about his students however because I missed a couple classes due to an illness that would have put me way past the attendance requirement and he was very understanding. He is entertaining for a night class and tries his best to keep you awake with his "jokes" that are sometimes funny sometimes not. Overall a good teacher despite his wackiness!

Drott rules. He should be appointed as president of Drexel and his hippos should be the vice presidents. There is no professor like him on campus who ends classes with the word "F.u.c.k".

Not sure if he does this anymore, but when I had him, he'd always be sippin on soda throughout the entire class. Especially in the middle of saying something. Funny as hell. I remember failing the mid-term BADLY and then getting a good score on the final. He used the final exam as my entire class grade. Definitely would take a class with him again!

Let's see....
1) ignores email contact from students
2) ignores telephone voicemails from students
3) doesn't return graded work
4) loses graded work emailed to him after permission is provided to do so
5) did I mention he refuses to communicate via email or phone with students?
6) tends to be a bit "boring", not due to content, but to style of speaking - not enough to keep brain actively involved
7) doesn't like to make up missed classes
8) very knowledgeable in field!
9) funny guy, but....

THIS GUY IS THE MAN!!! The class itself really isn't that hard (even Drott admits this) but this guy really knows his stuff and on top of that the class is MUCHO FUN to be in. I was sooo pissed to find that he wasn't teaching Info102, I am gonna take his classes whenever I can! He's a great teacher who really explains in detail the subject matter and can give you a historical background on pretty much anything computer. He has YEARS of experience under his belt which shines through.
Viva La Drott!

This guy is completely nuts! AAAAAAh...he's really funny if you listen to him, but he can get very boring. I found myself playing Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds or Windows Pinball, but it wasn't really because he was a bad teacher, it was that I had already gone through much of the material in MIS 342. His grading is pretty easy, but as I said, he's a total nutjob, and he will confirm that.

yes this is the third time i have had drott. this class was taught exactly like when i had him for 101 and 102. he just talks and talks. the tests however were short answer instead of multiple choice... that is the only difference.

Drott, is cool. Although he is really goofy to most of the students, he is really a good teacher. Just read the text book and pre-test review it is an easy A.
