Pros: One of the best professors you can have at Drexel. I took her Fren 101 and 102, she is definitely the BEST! As long as you make efforts and show up to the class, you are doing more than fine. And remember the online homework, that is a lot of them but there are graded based on completion. Class is straightforward and reasonable even for an international student.
Cons: Little bit overload

Very nice, accommodating, and understanding as always; there's a lot of material to cover and she's reasonable about it without giving you too much of a break.

Pros: Helpful, friendly, engaging, and all around just completely wonderful.
Cons: Just a lot of work, but it is a new language, so that's to be expected.

Pros: She grades fairly and as long as you make the effort in everything you do such as participating in class, studying, doing the homework, etc. (basically doing the obvious to show you actually want to learn). Professor Dyer also is extremely friendly and understanding. She makes the class fun and you can tell she is knowledgeable on the language based off her stories on living overseas in France.
Cons: DO THE ONLINE HOMEWORK, PREFERABLY IN ADVANCE! I can't stress this enough. Seriously if it is one class not to procrastinate in, it is this one. The 100 level classes utilizes an online site to take place of a physical workbook. This site can be irritating to work with because you're put outside of your comfort zone in all metrics (listening, speaking, reading, etc). BUT if you keep up with the online homework, you will be at least 2 steps ahead of the game, especially in class. The book and the online sites mirror each other closely so if you do the online homework days prior to the lesson plan on your syllabus you do fine in class.

Professor Dyer is absolutely amazing. She is extremely caring and helpful. She is always happy and makes the class enjoyable and relaxing. She does give a lot of work but the work but this helps with learning the material and seeing where you stand in the class. Honestly, she's probably one of the best and kindest professors at Drexel. Definitely recommend.

Pros: She's super friendly and accommodating. If you miss a quiz, you can make it up. If you don't have your homework in on time, she accepts it up until the next test. Learning french is kind of fun with her.
Cons: Sometimes she strays off teaching. She has a lot of opinions.

Pros: Reallly good teacher, really knows her french and is easy going and makes the class interesting. Fair grader as well
Cons: the online homework is a pain. Do not procrastinate. It is the worse sitting in front of your computer for hours doing online homework the day before its due. So if you take the class, do the online hw as frequently as possible to get it out of the way
Great class, great teacher. If your going to take french take her instead of the other teacher. Shes a much easier grader

Dyer is an amazing professor. As long as you put the work in she ensures that you are learning what you need to learn. Allows you to turn in homework through email in case you forget. She is a super nice woman. The only drawback to this course is there is an immense amount of homework, however, it is not hard at all.

Great teacher but VERY liberally biased. She wasted several classes by going off on political tangents, which was not appropriate or relevant. Aside from that, she was still a good teacher and cares a lot about her students.

Great teacher, knew everyone's names within a week. Class is fun and personal. Tests/quizzes are easy if you study--just lots of memorization. The only issue I had was that she occasionally went on tangents about touchy political issues, which was inappropriate no matter what your views are.

Brenda's classes were made very interesting by her outgoing and intellectual personality. She is very considerate to the needs of her students. This is not a difficult class to get an A in, just keep up with the light work-load and you'll be on your way to an A.

I have never met a teacher like Brenda before. She is very fun and cares 110% about her students. She is extremely diplomatic in making class an all-inclusive event. French is hard enough to learn without having to talk about some boring topic in the book. She inquires to what the students want to talk about in relation to the book so to assure they all participate. She gives a medium to heavy workload, and she's no easy A either, but as long as you participate and do the work an A won't be too hard to get. I would register again for one of her classes in a heartbeat.

Madame Dyer is a fantastic French teacher. She knows how to convey her knowledge very effectively and really shows you the various subtleties that go along with learning a foreign language. If you want to take French, DEFINITELY see if you can get her as a teacher.
